Still reading The Night Watch, but also reading The Girl Who Played with Fire and listening to A Secret Kept and House Rules on audio. All are pretty intriguing so far.

Oooh I have that book, will start it as soon as I've finished these three
I haven't even read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo yet, lol. And I've had it ever since it came out. Those orphan children again, lol.
I know. I really do need to get to it. I keep looking at it and wanting to read it, but other things get in the way.
Lyn I agree with Jo, READ IT!!! LOL
I read the first one Jo, really liked it, and I got the other two for my birthday, now just to start reading them, will start when I'm done with Angel Experiment and Eclipse.
Then I'm looking for a copy of The Gargoyle... seeing as I've already read the Other Boylen girl :)

Hehe, I know how you feel, I also get that way especially when I know that I own the next book in the series....
I use to get that way about the Harry Potter Books, and it was torture for me to have to wait so long for the next book to come out :)

I hear that a lot but ppl still swear it is a good read. I am really behind in the monthly reads. I am still going back and forth with The Forgotten Garden

I went out a reserved the third in the Millienium series but I never got to it. I am so overwhelmed with all my TBR's that I jsut haven't gotten to it. I will def push it forward and hope to get to it sooner rather than later.
I know!!!! And now the Harry Potter Movie wait is killing me :)
I also felt that way about the Women Mystary Club series by James Patterson... I've finished 9th Judgement, so he better start writing the next book :)

Oh, I'll definitely continue reading it, but the challenge will be finding the right mood. This doesn't strike me as a comfort book to curl up with at night after a long day. Perhaps it will be saved for daylight and bigger chunks of time :)
Paula - I know, I read the cover at the library when I picked it up, and even that sounded disturbing. I am on the fence because, as Donna says, everyone says it is a great read, but I have trouble with disturbing books.
Don't feel pressured to rad it. That is why we have 2 books a month to read. Just in case you don't want to or don't have time to read it. It's of your choosing. I read plenty of Chuck Palahniuk books and tey are oh-so-disturbing!
If it is like his books, I may be in trouble, Donna. I tried to read one, Survivor, but couldn't even finish the first chapter.
Oh, I have no idea I was just thinking of disturbing writers and he was the first to come to mind. I have yet to read the Gargoyle.
Just finished Shanghai Girls, which was brilliant. Now back to The Late, Lamented Molly Marx by Sally Koslow.
Hi Lyn,I think that the hardest part about The Gargoyle is the first few pages. They're pretty gory, but it is done well and tastefully. After that, I think it's pretty easy going. :) Good luck either way! :)
Thanks Jenni - I will give it a go, but it will help to know that I just have to get past the first few pages.Watch, after all this it will probably end up being one of my favorite books, lol.
It is a disturbing and bizzare book but i let those parts go over my head. There were so many underlining messages in the book that really touched me. Its in my top ten of favourites. Im almost finished Like Water for Chocolate. The deep love in it reminds me of a dear friends love life/situation etc . My favorite part was the vomit scene at the wedding.
Mmmm what a great mental picture Kate :)
Well, I finshed up on The Art of Devotion now I am just finishing up on This World We Live In and The Forgotten Garden before I start any more.
I am soooo close to finishing The Fiery Cross. It is a good book, and I am really liking Roger. I'm honestly not sure what I'll read next...
AHHH I just remembered that my work book club is meetingon 9/21 and I still haven't read the book and it's a big one too!!! We are to read The Alienist
Donna wrote: "AHHH I just remembered that my work book club is meetingon 9/21 and I still haven't read the book and it's a big one too!!! We are to read The Alienist"Oh, but that one looks like a rather enjoyable, fast-paced mystery! Actually looks right up my alley, really - too bad my Mt. TBR is so big already!
Donna wrote: "AHHH I just remembered that my work book club is meetingon 9/21 and I still haven't read the book and it's a big one too!!! We are to read The Alienist"Let me know what you think of this book, Donna. I have it on my short list of TBR.
I do hear great things about it but it just makes my list longer and I hate to read more than one book at a time and now I will be reading 3!
I'm actually a little overwhelmed by my TBR list right now - even the 'short list' that I have going has gotten a bit excessive! I'm on vacation this week and thought I'd get more reading in, but am also doing wedding planning, finishing a landscaping project, cleaning, and just odds and ends that I haven't had time for in awhile. Argh! So frustrating when daily life gets in the way of reading :)So.. what book to read next? Hmm....
I know what you mean Donna! I try to keep my currently reading books to two - one book/ebook, and one audio book. It doesn't always happen though!

Gotta hold off on The Forgotten Garden because I have 2 1/2 weeks to read the chunker of The Alienist
I found it hard at the beginning, but now I'm nearly done and I cant wait to read what happens at the end!
Lyn, once you're past the first 100 pages its really good

I am going crazy!! As I have said more than once, I let my nephew borrow my Hunger Games collection and have yet to receive them back and I am losing it!!! I never even read it!
