I am half way through The Library Diaries. There was so much controversey with this book and it's selling for $1,000 on Amazon! This is very much a banned book and I am very pround to say that I won it even if it is a very annoying book LOL!
I just finished reading Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, which I listed as 5 stars. I thought it was a beautiful story. I am now starting In the Woods by Tana French.
Well just finished it and I liked it!
Now I am going to read The Poacher's Son again now that I found it!

Starting Everything Is Illuminated... I've probably read the first 10 pages and laughed allowed at least 5 times so far
I should put the finishing touches on Witch & Wizard tonight. It is easily the worst book I have read in 3 or 4 years. It is not one particular thing that bothers me, it is EVERYTHING. I am sure this appeals to some people, i.e. 4 and 5 star reviews. Surely it can appeal to a teen or younger who may not be sure what good writing is. There are just so many things wrong with the plot alone. The plot is like a ping pong ball and just bounces all over the place. The main characters voices sound like they are mildly witty 9 and 12 year olds except they are really supposed to be 15 and 18 year olds. I am not saying the story or plot completely stinks, it is that when you look at one part to the next it is not plausible. The last scene I read this morning made the entire book laughable. Anyway, sorry to vent, but I would not read this unless you are aware that it is of the YA genre and it is not nearly as good as ANY of the YA that has been raved about on this site.
Unfortunately, I ended up giving up on Extras as it doesn't make sense to me and I wasn't getting anywhere with it.
So now I will read A Theory of Relativity.
They died instantly.
Or close enough.
Gordon, of course, knew that "instantly" in this context, didn't mean what it seemed to suggest. Several minutes would have passed inside the car after the impact, while the final tick and swoosh of Ray's and Georgia's heart-sent blood swept a pointless circuit, while muscles contracted loyally at the behest of a last volley of neurological commands. But there would have been no awareness, or only a few twilight seconds - and no memory.

Phew! It took me forever to finish The Poacher's Son (well rather than my usual time) At first I lost it then I found it and then I got swapped with school (still am) but all and all it is completed!
I am now reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. It is my work book club's March selesction so here goes!

Finished Blackout by Connie Willis and loved it! Now, I've started the third and most recent St. Just mystery by G.M. Malliet, Death at the Alma Mater: A St. Just Mystery.
I have gotten no reading done this weekend. I took off Friday to get some things done but still did nothing. I was super lazy!!! I am a very busy person and when I have a second to rest I do!
Shelli wrote: "Child 44 and it's really good so far!"I have this one on the back burner, well in one of my "to-read sometime in the future" baskets. I'd like to hear what you think of it when you finish it, Shelli.
I just finished Outlander, and have literally just started Dragonfly in Amber... I'm one page in!As far as the ABC challenge goes, holy cow! I have tons of D's and O's!
I am a little more than halfway through:
.It is a Christian romance historical fiction book set in the 1600s on a tobacco plantation. It is about a well educated English woman who has been kidnapped and sold as a tobacco bride in the Virginia colonies. It isn't a bad book so far, perhaps a little predictable at times.

I'm dong an ABC challenge, too, Jenni, and some letters do seem really easy to get multiple titles for, but I'm having a bit of trouble with "X." Any suggestions? Anyone?
The one I read last year is not too hard to find and it was an OK book
The Xibalba Murders: An Archeological Mystery
The Xibalba Murders: An Archeological Mystery
The Xibalba Murders: An Archeological Mystery is what I read... it is interesting, but nothing amazing. Not a bad read. :)Here are a few others:
Xenocide
The Xenocide Mission
The X'ed-out X-ray (part of the A-Z mysteries)
X-Men: The Dark Phoenix Saga - graphic novel
X/1999, Volume 2: Overture - don't know anything about it, but it looks interesting! I think that there's a Volume 1, because I saw a lot of other volumes!
X Saves the World: How Generation X Got the Shaft but Can Still Keep Everything from Sucking
The X Factor - looks interesting!
X-Files Book of the Unexplained V1 - has great ratings, and was the inspiration for the TV series... I think I'll read this for my next A-Z challenge! :)
There's a few ideas... let me know if you choose any of these!

Wow, thanks, Jenni. I'll probably go with [book:The Xibalba Murders: An Archeological Mystery, as I'm a mystery fan.

I think I'll go with this one, too, Donna. Thanks.
I am attempting to read Xibalba Gate: A Novel Of The Ancient Maya this year but I am having trouble finding it!

Finished Sworn to Silence by Linda Castillo, which I thought was good, but not great. I just got In the Woods by Tana French back and am on about page 150. As for The Count, I am on page 450 and really liking this book.
Still reading The Book of Lost Things and it is def not what I expected. It is very Fairy Tale-ish! Not that there is anything wrong with that I was just thrown off guard.
Well, I am at about 80% of the way through A Bride Most Begrudging on my kindle. It was kinda slow starting out, then the middle chapters were wonderful. Even though it is a Christian romance, and it is "clean," the first half of the book had the recurring theme of Sex. It was on everyone's mind and noone was gettin' any. Now, it has slowed down again and I am having a hard time finishing it. It really feels as though the book should have ended at least a chapter ago. Now the theme has shifted from a sexy undertone to more of the characters being unsure of who they are or what they want...
I am determined to finish this book so that I can start reading my new First-Reads win Fever Crumb that arrived in the mail!
I finally finished Everything Is Illuminated! I've been crazy busy so it took me forever to read it, but I really loved it. not quite as much as EL&IC though :)Starting The Executor :)
Woo hoo. I struggled through another 12% of my book last night, I am now sitting at 92% Read! I am glad I stuck with it because it started getting interesting again. I will certainly finish the book up by tonight or tomorrow and then start on my next one. YAY!
Finished Outlander yesterday afternoon it was wonderful! I have to wait for Dragonfly in Amber to arrive in the mail so I jumped into Saving CeeCee Honeycutt and it seems written very well so far. Love colorful southern style stories!
I hear good things about Cee Cee Honeycut. Let me know your thoughts to see if it is worth the purchase
So I skipped book 2 on my next 5 (The Help) and I added in Flowers for Algernon. It is a short book and I am sure i will start The Help after the weekend.
