Finished a few days ago. Very emotional and gave me flashbacks to what was happening stateside during the Vietnam war. Worth reading just for the reality check on how females military service has been devalued by our country.

Finished News of the World by Paulette Jiles. Historical fiction set in 19th century post American Civil War Texas. First time to read this author and loved! Rated 5 stars and on my favorite shelf. Read on Libby Kindle while listening to Libby Audio. Excellent narration by Grover Gardner.

Just finished reading by Christina Lauren. Rom-com fiction about a sister-of-the-bride and brother-of-the-groom who end up on the honeymoon of the newlyweds because of an outbreak of food poisoning at the reception. The beginning of the book was predictable, but I was pleasantly surprised by some of the turns the story took once I got about 1/3 way through.
First book from Christina Lauren, but definitely not the last - 4 stars!

The last book I read was the Outsiders, by S.E Hinton (see my review of this novel on my reviewing profile)
I found it quite nice to read, with many interesting symbolism, theming and points about the book.

Read Beastly Bones #2 Jackaby by William Ritter. Rated 3 stars. This is a fun, entertaining YA paranormal series set in late 19th century America. Enjoyable audio narration by Nicola Barber.

Zikora - 4*A wonderful read in how realization emerges in Zikora.

My Evil Mother 3.5* A light-hearted tale of a tug-of-war relationship between mother and daughter, and a little bit of witchcraft to help. The ending made me laugh.

Finished The Devil Take Tomorrow: A Thrilling Revolutionary War Adventure by Gretchen Jeannette. Rated 4 stars. Historical fiction/Romance set during the American Revolution late 18th century.
A gritty, entertaining novel with engaging characters. Unlike many historical romances this prominently features the historical events of this time in American history.
