Who is ready to travel the world? We are aspiring to do that here...through books, of course. ;)

Here are the basics:

Each round, teams will have two weeks to complete five tasks. Now, depending on how many members a team has, you might only have to read 1 book per team member, or if you have a faster reader, they might be able to take on more tasks, if needed. In total, though, there are only five tasks to be completed.

The tasks will fall under these "umbrellas":

1. Location
2. Transportation
3. Souvenir Item
4. Nourishment
5. Sleeping accommodations

~Locations~

There are seven locations that will be randomly called:

Africa
Antarctica
Asia
Australia
Europe
North America
South America

For each location, there will be several options for you to choose from in order to complete it. For instance, let's say ASIA was called:

Asia
Read a book using one of the following options:
-Title starts with one of the letters in ASIA (articles [a, an, the] do NOT count)
-Part of the story takes place somewhere in Asia (i.e. China, India, Japan, Russia, etc.)
-Cover has a majority color of white, blue, or red
-Author's First or Last Name initial starts with one of the letters in ASIA

~Transportation~

In order to travel, you need some type of transportation. This task requires you to read a book that has some type of transportation on the cover. Every week, a random one will be called from the list below:

Boat/Ship
Car
Bicycle
Train
Horse/Wagon
Aircraft (i.e. airplane, helicopter, hot air balloon, spacecraft, etc.)
Skates/Skateboard

When the item is called, that is the task for that round. :)

~Souvenir Item~

You can't travel and not get a souvenir, so each round you will need to pick up a souvenir item.

Each round, one of these items will be randomly chosen. You will need to find the item either in the text of a book or on the cover.

Postcard
T-Shirt
Mugs
Keychain
Jewelry
Figurine
Candle

~Nourishment~

Be sure to keep hydrated and properly nourished. Every round, one of these "nourishment" tasks will be called:

tasks need to be found on the cover:

Water (rain, lake, in a glass, a teardrop, something)
Fruit/Vegetable
Hot beverage (coffee, tea... just the mug would work)
Dessert (cake, cupcake, pie, etc.)
Grain/Legume (i.e. rice, beans, etc.)
Some type of baked good (Bread/Bagels/Muffins)
Some type of candy (lollipop, chocolate, bubblegum, etc.)

~Sleeping accommodations ~

And lastly, when traveling, you need a place to rest.

For this final task, read a book with some type of building, house, tent, cave, etc. where you will be sleeping for that stay.

This is the most open task, as nothing is called and it's pretty easy for all 7 rounds. :)

Important note!

If ever during a round, a task is too difficult and no one of the team can cover it, you may choose to use this option:

**Swap**
where you can swap a task and read a book that one of your teammates (or a mod) has read and rated 3 stars or higher instead.

*Only two (2) swaps can be used during a single round/turn.
