Not perfect, but a lot of fun and still one of the best comic book sequels. The fight scene in Metropolis is great and there's a nice solid emotional core to it.
"General, would you care to step outside?" is still one of my favorite lines.
I loved it. Agree it's not perfect but there's a lot of charm with this movie. Wish they didn't have this kiss at the end, though...

Agreed. I also remember Ursa all suprised and then saying, "General Zod doesn't take orders. He gives them."
I recently watched all 4 of the Superman movies with my kids. This is the only one they remotely liked :) It is a classic. I love Terence Stamp. One thing I really loved about this movie as a kid, that I really hated as an adult:
Superman goes back and beats up the bully he met earlier in the movie, as Superman. Really? That's the ultimate act of bullying. As an adult I thought it was terrible. It really rubbed me the wrong way.

I enjoyed that as a kid... but you certainly make a good point. Maybe if Clark just ran into the guy again, and the guy started with him.. but Clark seemed like he went back for revenge...
What bugged me the most about this movie was the kiss forget scene at the end. It was never a power that seemed around before and it's ridiculously convenient. Also it's annoying she'd forget everything since we as the viewers have been through the ride for two movies, only to have it end that way.

Which doesn't fit Superman at all. (But it does fit our human need to see bullies get their comeuppance :) )

But also, remember where he grabs the "S" off his chest, throws it at Non, and he ends up getting wrapped in plastic wrap?
