A society that is ruled by men. Why else would school dress codes still be so strict? Especially in stupid cases with girls.

Girls have the worst dress codes! Why are shoulders sexual? Why do thin straps have to be illegalized? I also get not letting your butt hang out of your shorts just for a professional, casual classroom, but the "Must be longer than your fingertips" rule is total BS. What if someone has no arms? Could they go to school naked?

I do think it's more of the bra strap that is the issue. Because a bra means boobs and boobs mean a distraction from whatever the teacher is teaching and a sexual one at that which is, of course, a big noooooo.
I read this thing where this girl was called out by the teacher for having her bra strap exposed and to cover it up or she'd be sent to the principal [something like that]. SO, she took off her bra and stuffed it into her bag. The teacher went apeshit while literally no one was fazed, not even the guys.

I have this friend I've known for a while. He kind of gave off a creepy vibe at first, but he's just been... there. Anyhow, he kind of has predatory behavior towards girls, targeting them and making them feel isolated and alone, telling them that everyone is talking behind their backs, before swooping in to try and nab a date. He got exposed to our Youth Leader by the victim, and it was kind of secret, but then she started to date my brother and the pieces and evidence all just clicked. He's kind of got a history of this too, so I want to stop talking to him, but he doesn't have many friends and I don't want to hurt him or cause drama that would damage my standing with the friends of my group, or push him deeper into depression. I locked eyes with him and told him that his ridiculous excuses (that my character would cause too much trouble and clash with his, or that he didn't want anyone to think we were a couple because there are other couples in the group) were absolute bullshit. It's too subtle to tell, but I think even now he might be trying to manipulate me into a position where I don't have strong friendships with my other friends in the group. However, maybe I'll just ignore him completely and go along with my other friends, maybe shut down conversations with him, and stop messaging back whenever he messages me. (hide spoiler)]

Appearance:
Balba is a giant in every sense of the word. He is tall compare to A LOT of people and most are slightly scared of him if they have never talked to him. He is close to eight feet tall. With a sturdy and muscular, body from all the hard labor he did under a New Mexican sun, He is a sight to behold. Besides that, his face looks almost chubby by comparison, with a mop of brown hair to his eyes and his eyes themselves dopey looking and are a grey-blue color. He has a bit of scruff on his face, as always forgets to shave when he is suppose to and by the time he remembers, it's too late. Balba also has plenty of hair on his arms, chest, etc. He looks slightly disheveled with the prison pants, a white t-shirt, a giant, black, puffy, winter coat full of sweets and different baubles, and size 14 shoes, though he tends not to wear shoes as he dosen’t like the feel of them. He does have plenty of healed over scars, scrapes, and bumps from him tending to hurt himself, hardly ever on purpose. Balba only has one tattoo, a picture of stylized head of an ox on his back left shoulder. You can usually see him with his stupid smile on his face, happy to be alive.

Personality: For all his appearance, you would imagine Balba to be one scary individual, that is hardly the case, He is an absolute sweetheart. He will usually greet strangers and people he knows with a hug, since he loves hugs. That said he is not smart, only having about a grade school level education, but is smart enough to where you can talk to him and feel like you're not talking to a wall. Balba is quite gullible will almost always believe what he is told, unless he has very good reason not to. His voice is quite low and he speaks somewhat slowly, as if he needs to focus on what he is saying to actually get it out. Though most of the time he is docile, if your were to hurt someone he considered a friend (which is many people) and he found out, you better run and hide. Balba’s anger is well known in the prison as he will hunt down whoever it was who hurt his friend and try to tear them limb from limb, that is why most people are terrified of this gentle giant. Balba is from a very religious tribe and so he believes that there is spirits in everything that is nature, so he enjoys the outdoor very much, that is where he was born to be, working with his hands.

History: Balba Athas was a happy child growing up. Raised in a native american “tribe” towards the border of Mexico and New Mexico in ‘93. His mother, Andry, knew he was special the moment he was born, much bigger that most babies, She named the child Balba, meaning Warrior in her culture. Andry would return to the tribe after, and with every child born to the, everyone helped out, as the father was off fighting in the Navy. He grew up helping his mother with labor, her calling Balba her ‘little ox’. Schooling was an odd situation, as they had no actually schools, but an older coulpe taught the kids the best they could, mostly with stories about their past and great folklore. Balba’s powers of mind reading came at a very young age, and the tribe thought it as a gift. The chief, Jacoby, call the gift Spirit Talking, and only a few good men ever got that ability to speak with the soul, that it was gifted to him by the spirits themselves. Balba didn’t care that much, it was neat, but did not work unless it wanted him to hear something. So for the rest of his adolescence, Balba worked hard for the tribe, being the best laborer just by massive strength and size alone. He was often teased about his height, as he stood a good feet above kids his age, but they were quickly shut up by their ‘teachers’. At 17, he was acting like an like a man, helping move the horses from pasture to pasture. The tribe knew that Balba was ready for the next step. Andry sat him down a day before his 18th birthday and explained to him the best she could that he would need to move to the city, where he could make money and send it home so the tribe could afford food and other supplies. Balba was actually pretty ok with this, though sad that he would see all his family less. So less than a week after his party and him officially a man, Balba set out for Santa Fe. At first he did not get use to city life. He almost got ran over, twice, and some punk attempted to mug him, but Balba did not have anything, so the kid just punched him and ran off. Now, Balba was quite a sight, at the height he is today, most people looked at him with either fear or awe. Only when someone would talk to him would they realize his slower demeanor and his teddy bear personality. Balba almost immediately got a job as a factory worker, as it was for him to show off his strength. Pretty close to after getting a job, he bought a shack on the edge of town to live in. It was pretty run down, but Balba was handy so it wasn’t an issue. With all this going on, he met someone, and that someone would ruin his life forever. Her name was Ruth MacDaniels, and to Balba, she was the most perfect person he ever did meet. But Ruth was no angel, as Balba had thought. She was a cold, calculating, woman who killed people by proxy, and Balba was going to be her next puppet. They met at the bookstore, but Ruth had been watching him a couple of days beforehand. He immediately fell for her, as she had changed herself to make herself perfect to the idiot, at least, Ruth thought of him like an idiot. She weaved her web in two years, making sure she had him under her her thumb which she did indeed. Balba worked harder to make enough money for sending home, which he never forgot, and making sure his ‘girlfriend’ was happy. The entire time he was with Ruth, his powers never seemed to kick in with her. He had no idea what was going to happen to him. On August 20th, 2014, Ruth came to Balba's home, balling and looking like a mess. As Balba tried to calm her down and as what happened she began telling him she got raped by five men in this bar. It was a group of men she despised, but she visited that bar frequently and knew who they were so Ruth decided that those 4 plus the bartender would be her next victims. Balba, disturbed and angered, ran to the bar and he didn’t remember what happened next. When the police found Balba, he was curled into a ball, crying and rocking. He was covered head to toe in blood with bodies, horribly mangled, flung around the place. Baba was arrested and he admitted to the crimes, never saying anything about Ruth, as she told him not to, and he did not want to embarrass her like that. So he was put into a first holding prison as he awaited sentencing, but the guard fell asleep and had left the door unlocked, so Balba simply walked out and was captured again when they found him in the diner next door, eating lunch. The next prison, the bars were so pliable that he just blended them, trying to chase after a rat he had turn into a pet of sorts. By the time of the sentencing trial, he had escaped from three times from three different prisons, never on purpose, more by luck. The judge knew this and took pity on the giant, knowing he would do such a horrific crime so she had him tested, hoping that there was something so she could send him to a nicer place. The doctor learned about Baba's powers as they talked and also noticed that Balba was a tad slower than the average human being. The doctor suggested Nanba, he would be taken care of decently there. So that is where Balba was sentenced to for 2 life sentences. He arrive there at 22 and has been in Block 13 for all of the two years he has been at the prison, put in a cell with an older man and some kid he hardly sees. Balba is being considered to move to Block 1 due to lack of trying to escape. Now and days, he sits in his cell or is working, trying to still send plenty of money home, one of the few addresses he still remembers.

Ability: Spirit Realm Warrior
Specifics: His powers are actually two powers, which one he cant control, but kicks in when it wants. That would be his power of reading minds, it is mostly used when he sees someone new, he gets the basic information about the person. In his mind it is told through your Spirit, a sorta ghostly version of you that float next to you. His other ability is one he always has on but dosen't even know he has it. His own 'spirit' is quite strong, to the point if he exerts himself to exhaustion he could lift a car, but he never wants to hurt anybody, unless it is the exception said above.
