Karla Sorry I haven't checked in in a few days. I thought I had, but guess it didn't go through. I am rereading the Harry Potter series, working on the first book now.

How was everyone's weekend?

I re-read book 1 last month and I really need to re-read the rest of the series as its been forever since i last read it. Which is your favourite one? I always loved prisoner of azkaban and goblet of fire.

I had the day off today as we had to have someone came fix our internet (the dog chewed through the cable) and I have been looking forward to it as I figured i would be able to get lots of reading done while i was waiting as i had nothing else i needed to do.

yet somehow between pottering around the house, cleaning and having a nap, I have managed maybe an hour of reading if I am lucky.

That being said i am off to try and get The Undercover Witch (MAGIC, Inc. Mysteries, #1) by Gina LaManna read. I was going to start Etched in Bone (The Others, #5) by Anne Bishop also today but wasn't really in the mood so will make a start tomorrow as I need to read it for amazing race.

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments If you have Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari in your TBR, I recommend the audiobook. The author narrates it himself making it interesting than it really is.

Poongothai (poongsa) | 576 comments I read Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) by Ilona Andrews and Magic Bleeds (Kate Daniels, #4) by Ilona Andrews and I'm enjoying it. The series is getting better and better.
I also read The Windflower by Laura London which is there in my tbr for a very long time.

Goblet of Fire is my favorite. I love Dobby! And he had a decent role in the book. What's your least favorite? Mine is The Order of the Phoenix. The way Harry felt throughout the book hit way too close to home.

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments My least favourite are chamber of secrets and half blood prince. They have good parts but i am less likely to re-read them unless i am doing a full series re-read

Roger - president of NBR United - (roger_presidentofnbrunited) | 612 comments If I understand Correctly, I read Vespers On October 2, 2016 and I will be rereading it next, SO it is after 6 month so it counts for this challenge. then I will be reading After Ben as it is a kindle loan to be returned on May 21.

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments That is correct Roger. it should be fine to read.

kelsi, what did you think of Tiger Lily? I am literally just about to start reading it for a challenge :-)

BTW the way guys, we are doing quite well so far in Tower Teams. We are currently sitting in the middle of the pack in 16th spot so well done so far everyone :-)

Weekend reading? What does everyone have on the slate to read this weekend. I am about to start Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson then hoping to squeeze in The Reckoning (Darkest Powers, #3) by Kelley Armstrong before I get all my new challenge tasks for the week

That being said, not sure how much reading time I will get this weekend as my daughter had two birthday parties i need to take her too + swimming lessons. I think it might be quite a busy weekend.

message 164: by Fajriy (new)

Fajriy I have had some ARCs for quite a while and plan to read one or two this weekend.

I'm also catching up with other reading challenges, so my reading plan would change a lot I guess.

Btw, I'm not a fan of Harry Potter and haven't read any of the books yet. But I think the library has the translation version of the series. So, maybe I'll read them.

I enjoyed it, if you like Peter Pan you should like it :) it's a pretty light easy read but good.

I'm not off until Sunday, and am waiting to get my challenge tasks before I decide, but definitely Silver Borne (Mercy Thompson, #5) by Patricia Briggs .

I will probably try to finish Strange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer, #1) by Laini Taylor and Branded (Inked #2) by Eric Smith . I might also be able to finish World After (Penryn & the End of Days, #2) by Susan Ee or Monument 14 (Monument 14, #1) by Emmy Laybourne although I haven't started them yet so it might be Monday before I finish them. I've also started A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, #3) by George R.R. Martin which will probably take me a couple of months or so but I plan on reading a few chapters a day so i may be able to finish it earlier but I am not sure. :)

I have read the first Mercy Thompson and whilst I did enjoy it and will probably keep reading the series, I didn't feel the need/want to have to pick up book 2 straight away (if you know what i mean) though i am assuming it gets better given how popular the series is amongst people i know with similar reading tastes to me :-)

I will start reading Strange the Dreamer since the BOM starts on the 22nd. I have all three books of the Penryn & the end of days trilogy but have to be in the mood for angel books and haven't been lately LOL!

I really need to restart the game of thrones series. I read the first 3 books about ten years ago then tried to restart book 1 when tv series started so now I am kinda stuck because I don't remember enough to start from book 4 but remember too much to necessarily have the patience to read books 1-3 again LOL though i may get around to it one of these days ( but probably later rather than sooner...)

I have that problem with bigger book series too, I end up rereading the first ones then I get bored and never end up reading the later books in the series...I think I might just start using wiki recaps to get the gist of books I've read already rather than doing a full reread.

Marybeth (narutofan14) | 262 comments I just realized that it has been a while since I last updated this week. I have been at my grandparent's house and they are getting ready to move in June so I have been helping them pack up some things and we had a yard sale yesterday that went very well. I am back home now and have no plans for this week although I am going out with a friend tomorrow so I am hoping to catch up on reading this week and will probably go back to the library once I finish the rest of the books that I have on my shelf. :)
Last week I did finish Branded (Inked #2) by Eric Smith which was ok and today I think I can finish both World After (Penryn & the End of Days, #2) by Susan Ee and Slither (The Last Apprentice / Wardstone Chronicles, #11) by Joseph Delaney . I will als be able to make some progress with Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #2) by Laini Taylor and The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles, #3) by Mary E. Pearson .

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments hi all,

Sorry I have been so quiet the last few days. Our internet went down on Saturday morning so I have been limited to phone and (surreptitiously) at work. Should hopefully get it back tomorrow.

Just finished the tome that is Lord of Shadows (The Dark Artifices, #2) by Cassandra Clare and I am not quite sure what I am feeling right now. Starting on Sweet Fire and Stone (A Sweet Cove Cozy Mystery #7) by J.A. Whiting this afternoon then RoseBlood by A.G. Howard tonight or tomorrow. Also looking to finish Strange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer, #1) by Laini Taylor this week.

Also a bit of housekeeping, may I please ask you all to go to your tower teams V shelf and double that the read date is set on all the books you have finished since the challenge began. Goodreads has been having some errors sometimes (mostly if you are accessing via a mobile device) even though you mark a book as read, the read date is not set.

Poongothai and I are going through as much as we can but it would help if you all could make a quick check yourselves

Andrea (deja05) | 732 comments I'm reading Strange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer, #1) by Laini Taylor and working on the BOM questions still. I had a busy few days and didn't get much reading done. I'll be starting You (You, #1) by Caroline Kepnes in a few days and will be doing the DQs for this book so we'll get some extra points!

I'll try to get to A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles and BOM questions for it by the weekend. And I really want to read White Hot (Hidden Legacy, #2) by Ilona Andrews soon too!! Too many books and not enough time I think...

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments I know the feeling Andrea.

I too am still working on Strange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer, #1) by Laini Taylor and will be starting You (You, #1) by Caroline Kepnes

Started RoseBlood by A.G. Howard which I have been looking forward t for a while and really want to get to The Calling (Darkness Rising, #2) by Kelley Armstrong .

Can't believe May is almost over

It looks like "Dom of Ages" is missing a page count. On the spreadsheet, if you look at the tabs at the bottom, you can click on the one for your name to check. Sometimes the spreadsheet just doesn't pick up the page count even though the book shows one on the page.
