What are you reading April 3?

This week I'm reading Flamecaster by Cinda Williams Chima, By the Creek by Geoff Laughton, and Last Of the Summer Tomatoes by Sherrie Henry.

I am re-reading the Mercy Thompson Series (urban paranormal) as I realise that I haven't read any of those books since book 4 so I am way behind!

I've got a few ARCs to get through at the moment. I'm reading All-In which is about a couple of poker players. Even with the explanations at the beginning of the book, I still have no idea about the game. Next up is Mister Moneybag. :-)

Starting Kelly Bowen's first series, The Lords of Worth. I'm about halfway through I've Got My Duke to Keep Me Warm. Despite the silly title it's turning out to be a good read.

That's what made me re-read them hahahah It is definitely slow burn!! I don't even think they get up to anything until book 3 or 4 haha Very similar to Kate Daniels and Curran!

I liked this one very well. For an unusual change, both Hero and Heroine are Blondes!

I've been reading Jenny Crusie's blog on ArghInk about the book she is writing. For a non-writer it's like a course in writing and also just fun.
I read Balogh's re-release Courting Julia. The hero was annoying--a few too many times where he gets angry at the heroine for behaving unconventionally and arousing him. Not enough scenes where they see each other for who they really are. But any Balogh is worth reading and it sets up Dancing with Clara beautifully--and that book is fascinating.
And I've been reading Kelly Bowen.

I read Balogh's Simply Love while on a Beauty & the Beast inspired binge. I just picked up The Seven Sins of Ruby Love and that's been good so far.

I'm typing this with watery eyes and shaking fingers, still suffering from Internet withdrawal symptoms after 48+ hours of no WiFi after Monday's storms. Loud cheers rang out from all members of my household when service was finally restored a few hours ago. Fortunately, my Kindle preserved my sanity during my deprivation. I read Gurke's The Truth About Love and Dukes, reread Cheryl Reavis's The Marine and read its sequel Band of Brothers and read a quartet of Inspirationals by Janet W. Ferguson. Now that new ARCs have downloaded, I am set to start Madeline Hunter's The Most Dangerous Duke in London.

Simply Love is one of my favorites by Balogh. I've read it almost as often as I have Lord Carew's Bride.

I'm on a mystery binge right now. Read and loved Let the Dead Speak by Jane Casey which is well into the Maeve Kerrigan series. The mysteries are solid, and there's a will they/won't they love triangle going that makes me bite my fingernails until the next one comes out. I can't decide between the two love interests. I like them both for different reasons. Which makes me even more eager for some kind of movement on that story thread. But it's fun reading looking for clues in both the mystery and the romance.

Welcome back, Janga! 48 hours without wifi!!! That would be rough! Not as bad as it would be if my kids were home, though. LOL

Decided to take a break from my Kelly Bowen glom to read a few light contemporaries by Eileen Dryer. First up was The Ice Cream Man. I really enjoyed that one. I hope the other two are just as good.

I didn't realize there was a sequel to Cheryl Reavis's The Marine, Janga. I'll have to look that up. Thanks!

I'm reading CS Harris new mystery. Beautifully written and she seems to have moved away from dropping another dead body in every time she is stuck.

And I'm re reading the original five Malloren books by Jo Beverley. Just because.

It was a good read, Susan. I'm going to read the next 2 in the series. I'm thinking Kelly Bowen is going to be another autobuy author.
