I will be posting May books for voting either today or Saturday. Be on the lookout. John has posted the books that are not eligible. May authors are Carroll through Coover

Sorry, Kristel, I jumped the gun. For some reason I thought today was the 15th. Time is sprinting fast enough as it is - it doesn't need any help from me.

April is going by so fast, I couldn't agree more. But with holiday's it wouldn't hurt if I posted books today. Will see if I get to it, it will probably be early Saturday.

Congratulations, Sashinka, it's certainly been a busy time for you!! Once James becomes ambulatory your reading time will be even more reduced until he heads off to school.

Speaking of which, what are you teaching?

Pip | 1822 comments What a busy year you have had! Feeding baby may be the only reading time you will have for the next year or so! You won't need to go to the gym, however, you will get plenty of weightlifting!

New month, new Herculean Labour. It is now too late to catch the Boar; you now need your elbow grease and your open eyes to clean your way through this dirty, dirty filth fifth Labour.

Australia, as you have surely noticed and experienced, is messed up to a degree. But just like the saying, of two (or three) evils, choose the lesser!

Do you have to decide for him or can you ensure that he has the right to choose for himself?

Hi Sally. I went on your shelf and compared books. On your TBR shelf you have a few books that I think you will like. I recommend: Handmaid's Tale, Girl with a Pearl Earring, Still Alice and The Paris Wife. I hope your reading slump ends soon. Have a good weekend.

Sally, what kinds of things inspire you? Are you interested in reading something off the 1001 list or maybe going a different direction? I get inspired by lists and challenges.

Maybe the place to start is here; https://themorningnews.org/p/announci.... I think this could be a fun summer challenge. I ordered the first two books from the library.

Bummer. I dropped my phone this last week while boarding a flight home from California. Some one found it and gave it to the gate agent - they asked on the plane if anyone had lost their phone and darn if it wasn't me.

Heads up everyone, I will post our books tomorrow (June 14) evening for voting as I get home too late on Thursdays to do it then. So not sure if John will move up the date voting closes or go with his usual. Our authors for July BOTM will be Dickens to Edgeworth.
