What's peaking your reading interest these days as we make our way to the finish line of winter? The books on our urban gardening display are flying off the display table! Lots of people are catching that spring fever bug and the itch that often goes along with it to get one's hands dirty. Stop in and see what we've got from our plentiful selection of books for gardening in small spaces!

I just perused Grow All You Can Eat in 3 Square Feet this weekend and I am inspired for my spring gardening plans! I have 4 12x4 foot boxes (one that is deliciously overrun with strawberries), but a lot of shade. Until I can round up the $500 to $600 quoted to me to cut that branch from the giant silver maple in our back yard off, I need to work on growing things that need fewer than 6 hours of bright sun. This book gave me some great ideas, as well as really inexpensive container gardening ideas for some of those sun-lovers. I'll still get to have some tomatoes after all; they'll just be grown on my deck.

I'm also reading Entre Nous: A Woman's Guide To Finding Her Inner French Girl (which I think I may have read - or at least parts of - previously), because for some reason my mind heads to France in the spring for about the past 3 years. It's a typical Francophile book, but I eat those up!

I am listening to The Nightingale on my commutes to and from work. And the other work of fiction I am reading is Before I Go to Sleep because every once and a while I like a good thriller!

Amanda Brandt Right now my reading is dominated by Wisconsin authors. As a member of the Wisconsin Library Association Literary Award Committee I have several books by Wisconsin authors to read. Right now that includes Hunting Camp 52: Tales from a North Woods Deer Camp and Angels of the Underground. But I've been squeezing in a few chapters of an advanced readers copy of The Hearts of Men as I've been waiting a year and a half to read it.

On my commutes I listen to audio books. I just finished Before I Fall and am almost done with The Warden's Daughter. I think the next one will probably be Kids of Appetite

Just starting The Sun Is Also a Star and I'm psyched, because it's the first Shalom in the City podcast book club pick for the new season that started this month! Shalom Book Club I love to be able to talk with others about what I'm reading! :)
