The Spring 2017 Challenge has begun!

Welcome back returning players! Thank you for making this group so much fun. If you are just joining us as a new player, we are glad you are here.

The Spring 2017 bonus theme is Modern Wonders

There are 52 tasks.
The Challenge point goal is 850.

10 x 5 points = 50
10 x 10 points = 100
10 x15 points = 150
10 x 20 points = 200
6 x 25 points = 150
5 x 30 points = 150
1 x 50 points = 50

Many of the tasks have already been posted. The remaining tasks will be posted as they are available. The aim is to have all tasks, excepting 50.1, posted by March 7. All tasks are draft until March 12. Please carefully review the task descriptions on March 13 as task requirements may have changed during the review period. Task 50.1 will be posted after the season midpoint April 15.

The Spring 2017 Challenge will end on May 31, 2017 at midnight Eastern time.

All the 5-30 point tasks for the Spring Challenge have been posted.

All tasks are draft until March 12. Changes may be made in the task descriptions until that date. Before you begin reading, please re-check the task description as some changes may impact your book choice.

There is a help thread for each task in the Spring 2017 Task Help folder. General questions about the Spring 2017 Challenge may be asked in the General Questions thread. Specific questions about individual tasks should be posted in the Help Threads for those tasks.

The 50 point task will be posted after the April 15 Challenge midpoint.

The Spring Challenge tasks are now final.

Please re-check the task descriptions, as some have been fine-tuned to clarify the requirements. Please read the task descriptions carefully before you begin reading.

The requirements for each task are included in the task descriptions. All books posted from here on out must comply with the requirements of the current task description.

If you have any questions about how a book might fit a task, we suggest that you ask on the help thread. Posts 2 and 3 in the help thread for each task may contain lists of books that have been proposed for the task and have been specifically approved or rejected.The moderators may refer to posts 2 and 3 of the task help threads when reviewing completed tasks.

The responsibility for pre-approval information lies with the poster. The moderators will not search the help threads to look for pre-approvals. If you had a book pre-approved, including a link to the Help Thread approval when you post your task may help keep you out of the Questions/Problems thread.

Task creators are only responsible for checking that books fit the specific requirements of their individual tasks. They are NOT responsible for verifying that a book fits all the general requirements of the SRC. We strongly suggest that you review the Challenge Rules and FAQs.

The 50 point task will be posted after the April 15 midpoint.
