Reading Everything by Stephen King

As with all authors, some are better than others.
A favourite of mine has always been The Stand, also his longest I believe!
Not so much Cell and Under the Dome, however I read both & never stick with a book I am not enjoying reading.
I will take a look at your youtube channel later on, meanwhile, happy reading!
P.S.
If you love SK, you would probably enjoy Dean Koontz.

I can't wait to read the Stand, but I won't get to it until summer, when I have a couple months off!

Just to add, more recent favourite has been 11.22.63, & best film by far has to be The Shawshank Redemption.

Shari, I take it you are a big fan of Randall Flagg with those two books as your favorite. Can't wait to read those! I am curious if you are not compelled to reread it because of the length, the horror, or a general dislike of the book.
Lainagh, when I was at my local book store recently they had first editions of Rose Madder and Dolores Claiborne. I grabbed Claiborne and am about halfway through. I suppose I will need to check back soon and hope it's still there! Thanks for the help!

Colleen, thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to read Tom Gordon. As a huge baseball fan, that book sounds great! I have a copy of cell ready to go!

Lainagh, if you watch the video you may notice a new book in my collection! Thanks for the recommendation! For those who may be following along, the next books in the Quest will be Mr. Mercedes (April 1) and The Gunslinger (April 15).
Hope to see you all on the Quest!

I love that book too! It's one of his less creepy stories. Haven't read Cell yet, will have to give it a try.

No way! Was it at UMaine? I've been a fan of his books for a long time so I was fangirling :D

Limey, thanks for your thoughts! In my reading order, I am intentionally spreading out the classics and some of his newer stuff so that I always have books to look forward to!

Pet Semetary and Salem's Lot are classics, by the way; packed with action if not necessarily "literary". If you haven't read them already, move 'em up your list.

James, I appreciate your sage King wisdom and look forward to the trip!

My personal favorites are "The Stand", and "Hearts in Atlantis." I thought "Atlantis" had the most heart wrenching ending of any of his books.

Mr. Mercedes was great, and I've been wanting to get my hands on the latest of that series for a while now! I look forward to watching your YouTube videos!

Hi Limey. Yes, that's the version. A fantastic read and I can return to the Stand time and time again although not straight away!

That & IT are the only two SK books I have read more than once.
I just read The Dark Tower books 1-4 and gave up....4 pissed me off...NO SPOILERS. Loved books 2 & 3 though.

I have been looking to get more subscribers and more discussion in the comments of my videos!
I will be giving away a copy of Song of Susannah (Dark Tower 6) to all subscribers who comment on this video! Thanks and Good luck! I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Well, he's so prolific it's quite a challenge to read everything he wrote, so good luck with the project!

The other thing that struck me was the emotional punch of the book. That did not resonate with me as much back in 86 or 87 when I first read it. I have long maintained that the ending of "Hearts in Atlantis" packed the most powerful and heartwrenching punch of any of King's works that I've read. I might reconsider that over the next few days.

I read my first Stephen King book at the beginning of 2017, and immediately fell in love. Shortly after, I vowed to read every piece of writing ever produced by the man (crazy, I know)! After getting a few books in, I thought it would be way more fun to turn this challenge into a virtual book club!
I decided to document my progress and reviews of each book by starting my own youtube channel! I am calling the series "The Quest Through King"! Check it out here: https://youtu.be/sRVaUUQD_WY
If anyone is interested in following along, I would love to discuss the books with you guys when we finish in the comments section, as well as updating my progress here! I think this could be a really fun way to start a reading community!
If you don't have time to read each book, feel free to check back for my reviews on the 1st and 15th of every month! If you have already read the book, please come back and share what you thought! If you aren't interested, feel free to skip that week and check back the next!
I am so excited, and I hope a few of you are as well!
I also started a goodreads group you are more than welcome to join here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
