Thom comes with some news that a coronation has been scheduled for Beslan due to Tylin's head being ripped off by the Gholam. I wonder what impact this will have on Mat. This is the first non-combatant that he has lost and in such a brutal way.
They have some Seanchan on their trail.
Poor Perrin has been isolated from the two rivers people by Berelain's schemings. Masema may be in league with the Seanchan and the Aes Sedai may be in league with him. Darkhounds are also hunting someone in unprecedented numbers.
Not much happening is kind of a theme for this book.
For some reason I had remembered Tylin had killed herself. I had completely forgotten she was killed by the Gholam. Whoops. That was sad to hear about, even though I knew her death was coming.
The only other thing of note with Mat was whatever deal he came to with Tuon that stopped the dice in his head. What exactly did he agree to?

I think the deal was she will keep quiet and Mat aka toy will do something in return.
Also Mat POV is taking place when Rand and Nyaneve are cleaning the taint and Mat knows that it's Rand who is channeling and not some forsaken.
Mat also goes into an ancient memory when Tuon talks to him regarding the ring which he is not wearing, also she is able to read the words on his staff.
