SOLVED. YA group of teens investigate paranormal activity [s]

So what i remember is this group of teens are thrown togethr on a group project or something and one of the boys is very into the paranormal and stuff and another girl is kinda poor i think? And then weird things start happening around the poor girl like lights going off and getting trapped in elevators. So they find out their town has a lot of ghosts or something then (view spoiler)[ the girl turns out to be a ghost (hide spoiler)] and at the end the guy obsessed with the paranormal goes on about time travel

I actually stumbled across the book myself in the library the other day. Its called Nearly Departed by Rook Hastings. Apparently it's a part of a series.
