Reading The Provost by John Galt. It was published in 1822 and has only been rated by 14 people so it definitely qualifies.
I am going to read a couple short stories that I have on my kindle that fit the theme. One being
and
for now.
I will be reading Anxious Pleasures: A Novel after Kafka which I think of as being obscure for a couple of reasons. I just by chance picked it up as a book sale, and have never heard of it or the author before, but being a fan of Kafka it caught my interest. And on Goodreads it has very few ratings and reviews.
I'll be reading at least
(only 40 ratings to date) as soon as I finish with my current book. Hopefully more.(view spoiler)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
I'm reading
Who Fears Death by Nnedi Okorafor. It was recommended to me since I enjoy Octavia Butler's sci fi/fantasy novels.
I guess my book for this month will be
because it only has 45 ratings. Rather obscure, huh?I only know about it because Lynn Flewelling wrote a short story for it (Flewelling wrote the Nightrunner series - some of my favourite books!)
I just finished reading Before the Rain: A Memoir of Love and Revolution and now I am reading A Disobedient Girl. If I have more time, I will read I Never Promised You a Rose Garden
I'm currently reading Médée by Anouilh. I'm not sure I can count it as an obscure book, given that Anouilh is one of the most proeminent French play-writer, but I had never heard of his Médée before picing this book up...
I have only two books that could probably fit to this theme and I don't feel like reading the other one yet, so I'll be reading something in Finnish: Teräsmiehen morsian from Eve Hietamies. The book has only 11 ratings. I actually think that I've read something from her father (Heikki Hietamies) before but I'm not certain.
I finished Teräsmiehen morsian already. It wasn't really that great, but I remembered what book I've read from her father and I think I liked that one more than this.

Finished it. Well, that was nice. :) I really liked the concepts in this book.
I finished reading
which has 42 (43 now) reviews so I thought it worked for this theme. After a slow start I really enjoyed it.
I read
today, a comic book with only 43 ratings. The art is amazing and I found the story interesting. It's about a young japanese woman who lives in London and travels back to Japan when her father dies.
I just finished this book, it was on the listopia list for obscure books so I decided to give it a try. This was a rather odd, slightly disturbing kinda sad book but I did think it was really well done and I liked it.
I read
My Christmas Cowboy (Cooper's Corner #4)by Kate Hoffmann which only had 14 ratings.
It is a 2002 series romance in a 20 volume series. I have been weeding my book collection and this was a set to go.
I also read
I'll Know It When I See It: a daughter's search for home in Ireland by Alice Carey. It has only 49 ratings and is a memoir of a musical theater actress in NYC
Lamilla wrote: "I started
read by the author. It has 137 ratings and 35 reviews (mostly favourable - a good sign)"Finished! A very decent read
I read The Romances of George Sand. There are only three reviews and six ratings. I thought that George Sand's life was fascinating, but that the book should have been published as a non-fiction biography rather than a novel.
I finished this month with Hiroshimaa book that was listed in goodreads but had no ratings. It was a quick read with interesting information and short stories of people in regards to the bombing of Hiroshima.

And don't forget to vote on the poll for July's theme. The poll for August's theme opened today, so go ahead and check that out, too.
Happy reading!!!
