I love the friendship between Karou and Zuzana!

I'm at 40%, Chapter 40. I'm so glad I decided to reread these two books back to back before reading the last one. I feel like I'm catching so many things that I missed the first time.

Yes I wanted to finish all my current reads before starting this - plus I'm saving my reading time for Slip (I still have 13 days) plenty of time to read Days of Blood and Starlight c:

I almost started this book right after finishing Daughter of Smoke and Bone but I dug down deep into my reservoir of patience to wait for the buddy read haha :) I just started a new book today so I'll start this tomorrow!

Just finished my reread! (view spoiler)[I think the ending was absolutely brilliant. The fact that Ziri is now the White Wolf and Haxaya is now Ten! OMG!

Love this series so much. I hope book 3 is as great as the first 2.

I'm going to read the novella now which I think is about Zuzana.

(view spoiler)[Oh my god. This book is hitting me in the feels so hard. I LOVE Akiva and Hazael - and how they sparred the two deer sisters and Rath (I'm not good with remembering their names but still!) So amazing. I love it so much. I really like how Rath is the sisters protector - so sweet! Ah I'll cry if something bad happens to these wonderful characters! (hide spoiler)]

I finished the book late last night and it was SO GOOD!!
Definite 5 star read!

(view spoiler)[ Okay, there was so many game changing moments in this one! First of all Akiva--that he could do that scream/air thing was INSANE, I hope he learns how to channel his magic better. When Hazael died--so so sad. And when Karou couldn't resurrect him--even worse! Karou--I felt her pain throughout the entire book. Brimstone was very missed. The White Wolf I wanted to kill with my bare hands. I love that she thought of putting Ziri in his body, though--he'd better be dead for good (the wolf) (hide spoiler)]
So much yet to happen in the ending! Can't wait to read the last book!

Can you tell I was enamored with Laini? I told her that we were buddy reading her book right NOW! And would be starting Dreams of Gods and Monsters next. That's maybe what her smile is about.

My BFF told me I looked like a little kid in a toy store while I was talking to her. Hahahhaa!!!

And to top things off, her little girl who was about 3 or 4 was sitting in the chair next to her all dressed up like a fairy. She was doing little post it notes and putting them in each book that her mom signed. She was soooooo freaking precious!!
