Yes, it was good. I thought it was going to be a "lighter" read, but I still enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed it. Not quite as light as you'd expect, as Christine said, but definitely interesting food for thought.

We do need a couple more Y's though, so if you have something that fits it would be really great!

Title Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
Author: Becky Albertalli
Characters: Simon, Nick, Leah, Abby, Martin Addison, Bram Greenfeld, Cal Price

I'm looking through my books, and so far I haven't found a Y, but I'm sure I will. I have a huge volume of Yeats's collected poetry somewhere if I don't find something else.

Also, I finished You and I'm really not sure what to make of it. Very odd book but it's one of those that makes you think and leaves you wondering what on earth you have just read.

I found Life of Pi by Yann Martel. I've been meaning to read it for years, so now is the time, right?

I've had that one sitting on my shelf for a while now as well but haven't been able to bring myself to read it. I saw a part of the movie and it was so weird! Besides, it looked like block text when I briefly flipped through, and I'm having trouble with that lately.

I am currently reading an S title.... should finish sometime today/this evening. But if someone else posts first, no worries!

Almost completely done with everything! :-)
Books still needed to finish the hands:
Chris is reading Practical Demonkeeping.
Lauri is reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1 & 2.
Lauri is reading Dying for a Cupcake.

I've read to page 5 in Life of Pi and I'm wondering if it will get more interesting. Normally I reserve the will it get better until I'm at least 25 pages into the book. The introduction was interesting, so hopefully it will pick up a bit. The other Y book I have is a monstrosity, but I'm beginning to wonder if it would have been more interesting, From Third World to First by Lee Kuan Yew. I didn't think a 700 page book was a good idea though especially since it is a history of Singapore, which I'm sure would be interesting but wouldn't be a quick read.

Ah :-/ That is definitely early to ask that question already. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
The other one does sound interesting but certainly not like it'd be a quick read. It's the kind of thing that's probably best savoured over a period of time.

You can have a look through them on the spreadsheet and Annika will soon post a little summary as well :-)
You will notice that we have another hand added this month, a special hand at that as it is made up of only cover colour cards. So when you're choosing books for this month, please take the covers into consideration. (Preferably covers where it is clear what colour they are without having to "hmm" and "uhm" over that question.)
