I finished Citymorden. It was a great crime novel and I would highly recommend it to anyone that likes Nordic crime, but sadly it has not been translated to English yet.

I finished The Hare With Amber Eyes: A Hidden Inheritance just before the library loan expired. Phew. I needed a yellow book so I've started an odd little freebie, Infinite Sacrifice. I don't even know where to start with characters - but there are N characters anyway, probably more to come, and it fits 1 (#1 in a series) and 5 (title).
Hey everyone. Just checking in. Been sick the last few days. Stupid stomach aches. Ended up having to spend Saturday at the hospital and of course they sent me home without knowing what it is. Yay. At least I'm feeling pain free and I can eat now. But my body is now recovering from no food or water for 2 days and lots of puking. Sigh. I've started my Kate Daniels book, but I'm only 4 chapters in.

Great job everyone! We're off to a good start - we are one week into the challenge and we already have over 15 books finished. How's everyone's week going? We're having horribly weather with rain and storm winds - it's one of those weeks where I really wish I could just stay home with a good book, a cup of tea, and a warm blanket and not have to go to work :-)

I just finished Die Känguru-Chroniken: Ansichten eines vorlauten Beuteltiers and found another character "Schmittchen" that should work for a six. Great audiobook! Had to laugh a lot. Unfortunatly it is not translated in English.My next audio book is The Handmaid's Tale

I guess whichever way you grew up reading them will always be the "right" way! Lol.
I finished Night. There probably were characters that could work, but it was just too much to keep track of them. What a book. Speechless.I've also started The Monogram Murders - no idea yet about characters, but works for 1 (#1 in a series), 3 and 6 (author Sophie Hannah), Skip (Poirot), and Reverse (MH has read it).
Just a little status update...We're doing great team! We are now 11 days into the first month, and we already have 29 books finished. We need 50 more books to finish all the hands for February.
I've placed almost all the finished books into hands (the mods want them placed before we start the mini challenge next week). All the books we have finished works for multiple different cards, so we have lots of options to move books around later if we need to.
This means that we can continue to read whatever books we want to - there are no specific cards that we need to worry about! If you feel like you need a more specific goal to work towards, cards 3, 4, 5, 9 seems to be the ones we have the least books for.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I've gotten the cough from hell and has spent two days in bed. Hopefully I feel a bit better tomorrow so I can get some reading done.

The book was nice but I felt it was kind of rushed sometimes. But maybe my expectations were a bit too high and overall I really liked it and will probably read the other parts as well.

FEBRUARY MINI CHALLENGEThis is an optional mini challenge for us to earn extra points.
The challenge has two parts, Find your Valentine and Be my Valentine.
GENERAL RULES
- Only books read February 14-28 will count for this challenge
- Books started before Feb-14 don't count for this mini-challenge (countdown to start of mini challenge)
- The usual book length requirement for UNO apply
- We get 30 bonus points if we complete all tasks
- Books used for the mini challenge can be the same ones we use for our Uno hands
- If we want to, we can post in our valentine's thread to let them know what we are doing
PART 1 - FIND YOUR VALENTINE
- Somewhere in the threads our team Valentine has hidden, so our first task is to find them. (Please note, is not the team name posted in our own thread.)

I think this mini challenge will be fun - seems to be a range of books we can read (and Sarah doesn't have to read any romance novels).
I think part 1 will be the hardest since we are limited to using books from the bookshelves of team bones. Hopefully we have some overlap in our reading taste with them :-)
