Nice! Books that fit that many different cards make me a happy captain :-)

I finished Citymorden. It was a great crime novel and I would highly recommend it to anyone that likes Nordic crime, but sadly it has not been translated to English yet.
It works for:
card 1 - character Oskar Lidman
card 2 - character Tobias Tobisson
card 3 - character Alex Hake
card 5 - book #5 in series
card 6 - place Stockholm
card 7 - character Victoria "Vicky" Ericsson
card 8 - character Erik Sigvardsson
skip - character Petra Berg

I needed a yellow book so I've started an odd little freebie, Infinite Sacrifice. I don't even know where to start with characters - but there are N characters anyway, probably more to come, and it fits 1 (#1 in a series) and 5 (title).

I've started my Kate Daniels book, but I'm only 4 chapters in.

That sounds awful! I hope you feel better soon.

Just finished Vampir à la carte.
It was okay but I would not really recomment it.

Ah really hope you are feeling better soon Eni!
Also, I have just finished

I've finished

It should work for:
1: First in Series
6: Character: Susan
8: Character: Edmund
9: Place: Narnia
Skip: Charakter Peter
Reverse: MH, Drishti

How's everyone's week going? We're having horribly weather with rain and storm winds - it's one of those weeks where I really wish I could just stay home with a good book, a cup of tea, and a warm blanket and not have to go to work :-)

I'm finally enjoying having a bit of spare time now and again! And I have started and got about 1/4 the way through Empire of Storms - I just haven't updated my good reads yet.

I have also finished reading

And I have also read

My next audio book is The Handmaid's Tale
It should work for
0: Stand Alone
1: Character: Offred
3: Title: Handsmaid's Tale
6: Character: Serena Joy
9: Character: Nick
Reverse: Kazen read it

I whizzed through Screwed Down Murder, which works for 2 (#2 in a series), 4 (char Kate Flaherty), 6 (title), and Skip (char Kate Flaherty).

Hope everyone is doing well - I'm currently pet sitting for a gorgeous White German Shepard named Sally! It's a wonderful job as she's the dream and also LOTS of reading time!! X

I've started Night which only works for 1 (#1 in a series), 8 (author Elie Wiesel), and 9 (title).

That looks like a really interesting book, Fatimah. I shall have to look out for it.
Please could you add it to your Uno shelf? Thanks! :)

What did you think of it? I loved this series as a kid and I listen to the audiobooks recently. I still really like the first book, but I don't think I enjoyed the rest of the series as much as an adult.

It's good for the cards already listed as well as:
2 and 4 - Character: Franny Travers
3 - Character: Helen Young
9 - Character: Emily Netterfield
6 - Character (nickname): Spike

I loved this series as a kid! Just before Uno I finally got around to starting a reread of them, and I hope I'll be able to fit in the rest during Uno. I've been meaning to reread them for years.
I can't be doing with this Publication Order nonsense though, I will always consider Chronological Order the correct one!!

Haha. I'm the opposite. I always read them in publication order.

Haha. I'm the opposite. I always read them in publication order."
I guess whichever way you grew up reading them will always be the "right" way! Lol.

I've also started The Monogram Murders - no idea yet about characters, but works for 1 (#1 in a series), 3 and 6 (author Sophie Hannah), Skip (Poirot), and Reverse (MH has read it).

We're doing great team! We are now 11 days into the first month, and we already have 29 books finished. We need 50 more books to finish all the hands for February.
I've placed almost all the finished books into hands (the mods want them placed before we start the mini challenge next week). All the books we have finished works for multiple different cards, so we have lots of options to move books around later if we need to.
This means that we can continue to read whatever books we want to - there are no specific cards that we need to worry about! If you feel like you need a more specific goal to work towards, cards 3, 4, 5, 9 seems to be the ones we have the least books for.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I've gotten the cough from hell and has spent two days in bed. Hopefully I feel a bit better tomorrow so I can get some reading done.

The book was nice but I felt it was kind of rushed sometimes. But maybe my expectations were a bit too high and overall I really liked it and will probably read the other parts as well.

Being too sick to read is the worst - get well soon!

White Nights by Ann Cleeves
Card 2 - #2 in series
Card 3 - Character Fran Hunter
Card 4 - Character Fran Hunter
Card 6 - Place Shetland Island
Card 8 - Character Edith
Skip - Character Jimmy Perez

Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks
Card 0 - stand alone
Card 6 - author Nicholas Sparks
Card 9 - author Nicholas Sparks
Skip - character Katie

No more cards to add to the spreadsheet, though."
Great job Kazen!

I finished reading

That look..."
I found it interesting indeed, especially the way it depicts multiple mental ilnesses at once. My bad but already fixed that!

Edit: Kazen found our valentine! Here are their spreadsheet and discussion thread.

It should already be posted - we just need to look through the other team's discussion threads to find where we are mentioned (hint: look at the messages at the first of the discussion thread from the mods. Another team should have a quote from our book listed there.)

eta: And now I get to dig into member bookshelves and have fun matching books to tasks, yea!

eta: And now I get to dig into member bookshelves and have fun matching books to tasks, yea!"
Yay!
I think this mini challenge will be fun - seems to be a range of books we can read (and Sarah doesn't have to read any romance novels).
I think part 1 will be the hardest since we are limited to using books from the bookshelves of team bones. Hopefully we have some overlap in our reading taste with them :-)

For part A:
❤ For the task "Read up to five books our valentine team has read this month for 10 points each", we can only read books that someone on Team Bones has read since Uno started.
❤ For the task "Read up to ten books our valentine team has read in Feb or added in Feb of any year for 8 points each" we can only read books that someone on Team Bones has read in February (any year, doesn't have to be this year), or that they added to their "want to read" shelf in February of any year.
❤ For the task "Read up to fifteen books our valentine team has read that was first published in Feb of any year for 5 points each" we can only read books that someone on Team Bones has read and where the first edition was published in February.
Here's the link to their spreadsheet (where you can find which books they have read for the challenge - useful for first task)
Here's the link to their discussion thread (where you can find who is on the team and links to their shelves - useful for the second and third task)

The mini challenge seems fun!
