I finished rereading The Hunger Games. I think I must have been mixing up the book and the film, as President Snow is barely in this one, and he doesn't speak at all - which makes me wonder if it would count for character is a President. Although he definitely is in Catching Fire, and I do want to read that now, so perhaps we'll just do a swap. ;)

Eni is reading a book for 3 yellow, but if you want to read Mai Tai One On, then please do! We can use it for tropical island and use Sarah's book for the 10000 reviews instead. It seems like an easier/faster read than your other book :)

I am currently reading Soulless and can also finish Night Watch and Murder on the Orient Express by Sunday. I am not sure I will be able to finish Harry Potter, though. If not, I will try & grab a shorter book: an Agatha Christie or a Perry Mason that might work for the mini challenge.
So I wonder, that in The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Dr. Shepard committing suicide (well, it doesn't get described) could count as a "main character dies"? If yes, that would be completing the Rose Hathaway egg - I am not sure if there is a funeral in the book - I will check tonight.

Eeep, that stinks! I haven't finished many books lately... ~stares at shoes~ ...but I've had the opposite problem, where I mark a book as finished and it shows as finished twice. :/ I guess they're still working the bugs out?

Great job everyone! I'm having a crazy couple of days at work (it is final exam time!) but I'll update the spreadsheet tonight.

I've also been having issues with the read dates not sticking / books suddenly being read twice. Hopefully GR gets those bugs fixed soon.

I found a Perry Mason book (a relatively short one): The Case of the Angry Mourner where there is a funeral. I could read it by Sunday instead of HP. So by Sunday I will read
- Soulless for the grey cover / statute on cover
- Night Watch for hats on cover
- The Case of the Angry Mourner for a funeral
and if I can, I will fit in Murder on the Orient Express or The Murder of Roger Ackroyd in case it could count for the "main character dies" category as that would mean another egg completed

I think that should count - you can't get more of a main character than the narrator, after all!
