SOLVED. Possibly YA/ chick lit with a female protagonist. [s]

I read this book way back in 2012 (I'm pretty sure). I remember the edition I read had a white cover, with possibly some sort of flower (not a photographed flower, more like graphic design. possibly a tulip?)

I think it's set in the US

I remember very vague details but I think they're pretty specific. There's a female character the MC befriends who smokes, is generally a little deadbeat. She has a distinctive way of saying 'whatever', kinda slurred? She works with a small catering business I think? I think the MC takes up a part time job with this business? And she basically befriends a group of people who work for this business, and they're all young adults?
Then there's the MC's love interest. He's a little aloof at first. I don't remember much about him, except that he makes statues out of scrap metal and sea glass.

I should also add that I don't know much about forums and threads, and I generally stay away from posting anything on the internet because of the unnecessary drama it usually generates lol so I apologize if there's anything wrong with this post.
