Thats fair enough, I was disappointed when I read the Fault In Our Stars, not because its was that bad but because everyone was going on about how good it was and I found it underwhelming.

Mina (minaongoodreads) | 16 comments Matched by Ally Condie. The characters fell flat and the plot was escruciatingly boring

I read this series a few years ago my mother and I loved them, what didn't you like about it if you don't mind my asking.

message 56: by Tishara (new)

Tishara Corcoran | 4 comments I guess I would have to say The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien I even tried to listen to a audiobook book to see if I could get pass the beginning and I couldn't. I only tried reading them cause my fiancé want me to watch the movies and I really didn't want to so I was like I will try reading the books first. I still haven't watch the movies either.

. (yayayyaya) | 0 comments I really disliked Meet Julie (just plain stupid and unoriginal in my opinion) and Diary of a Valiant Wolf, Book 1: Steve’s Wolves (This wasn't Mark Mulle's best work.. it was one of his worst).

message 58: by . (new)

. (yayayyaya) | 0 comments It probably seems like I only read books that are aimed at kids, but I just read whatever I can get my hands on if it's appropriate.

Soumya (-crazyangelicvamp-) | 18 comments I read the third book of the Mortal Instruments, and I got bored. I might pick up the series again some day because it is so high rated, but chances are less.

And yeah, HP and the Cursed Child was good, but it wasn't as magical as the rest of the books. I kept on getting the feeling that they could've done better.

Also, I did not enjoy the Selection series, and never got around to reading the One. Though I did read the ones with that girl, but it wasn't that cool.

And I couldn't read the third book of the Throne of Glass series, either. I didn't enjoy it, I remember distinctly.

And I tried Emma because my mother loves it, but I couldn't get past the first three pages.

message 63: by Olivia (new)

Olivia (elven) The Apartment by Danielle Steel. I think it was the only book I gave 1 star to last year.

message 64: by Jessie (new)

Jessie | 3 comments Passenger by Alexandra Bracken

message 65: by Deejay (DZ) (new)

Deejay (DZ) (deejayreads) | 17 comments I think it's an abundance of Katherines, I was highly disapointed in John Green !

Hajy (spacestationwonders) "Feedback" by Robison Wells. It was surprisingly terrible.

message 72: by Lorryn (new)

Lorryn Of Poseidon by Anna Banks.

message 73: by Zahra (new)

Weronika ★ (carranam) | 32 comments Ugly Love. this book was so so bad

message 75: by Pat (new)

message 76: by bianca (new)

bianca (biancazanini) "My dilemma is you" by Cristina Chiperi

message 77: by karli (new)

message 78: by Andreas (new)

Andreas Aristodemou (andreasaristodemou) | 93 comments Unfortunately, if I stay. I am so madly in love with the movie, and I was so disappointed by the book. It just lacked emotion.

message 79: by bianca (new)

bianca (biancuscus) | 5 comments Go Ask Alice. UGH. What a fucking waste of time.

message 80: by Tena (new)

Tena (booktober) | 7 comments Six of Crows. I read it because everyone I follow in the book community seemed to love it. The writing was good but....I just didn't understand the hype? Made me realize I need to read books for me and not just because everyone loved them. So far for 2017 I've not read a book I didn't like!

message 81: by Cecilia (new)

Cecilia Raya (ceciraya) | 5 comments 2016 was a good year of books for me ... so I could say that the book that I like the least was Classes of Literature by Cortazar and Two Times June by Martin kohan (actually I hated the last one)...

message 82: by Chloe (new)

Chloe (awholelottabooks) Everything, Everything. Argh it was awful, really badly researched and it made it so unrealistic

Ardent || LoveArdent || Raya (loveardent) | 22 comments Definitely Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Shiver was boring

message 84: by LiMaB (new)

LiMaB Sadly, Cinder. I would have loved to like it more, but the whole cyborg thing is not for me. Also, some German books I had to read for university. They really managed to choose the most boring books last year...

message 85: by n a t a l i a (new)

n a t a l i a (ofsunlight) | 6 comments For me it was Nevernight, I DNF that book bc the whole time I wanted to stab my eyes out - why on earth would you put footnotes instead of integrating info it into the story, like??? also the writing was so thick and heavy I couldn't wade through it

message 86: by Danielle's Books (new)

Danielle's Books (daniellesbooks) | 6 comments The Magicians... There was a lot of hype around it, and I was so exited to read it because I watched the show... The characters irked me so much, it was boring, and it offended me. It bashed my religion quite frequently and I was not okay with it. I get that their are people who are athiest, but you can at least be considerate enough to think that some of your readers may be christian...

message 87: by Ali (new)

Ali Dash | 3 comments The Siren by Kiera Cass. The funny thing is one of my all time favorite reads of 2016 was The Selection, also by Kiera Cass

message 89: by Luci (new)

Luci (luciamovilla) | 6 comments The Lifeboat by Charlotte Rogan We got it for an asigment at school but it was so boring I thought I was going to die. It gave me a very hard time reading it. Gladly, I wasn't the only one to think so in my class.

message 90: by Vickey (new)

Vickey It was Off The Page for me Off the Page

message 91: by Louise (new)

Louise | 102 comments Soundless by Richelle Mead and Miss Peregrines home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

message 92: by Mieke (new)

Mieke (miekebxx) Clockwork Angel (don't hurt me) and Save Haven. They weren't particularly bad books, but they were the worst in my list from 2016.

message 93: by Anna (new)

Anna (librairieimaginaire) not counting the five or six i dnf'd, Zeroes and The Swiss Family Robinson were the absolute worst

Benjamin Uke | 62 comments 7th, city burning.

I hoped to enjoy an authors newest work, but it was really, really bad.

"It looked like it might have been a dead dog but the closer look revealed it was not a dead dog."

^Actual quote. There were several hundred pages.

LOL that quote just makes me want to read it just to see how bad it is.

message 98: by Martina (new)

Martina (tinnie75) | 1 comments Alice in Wonderland

I don't know what people enjoy about that story.

message 99: by Jessica (new)

Jessica DaVinci's Tiger - super boring and I just didn't care about the characters, Creature of Moonlight - the writing was much too flowery for me, and Starbreak - the characters were a little annoying and the plot wasn't super interesting.

message 100: by Benjamin (new)

Benjamin Uke | 62 comments It was a magnificent horror I witnessed. If it was more brief, it'd be in "so bad it's good" territory.
How about you?
Any particular books ripe enough to have tomatoes thrown at them?
