I confess I googled it. The song is "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by The Beatles. Just in case anyone else was wondering.

I thought about googling it but was too lazy. I was going to ask if any of you knew the connection! Thanks G :D

As a Beatles fan I figured that out from the name of the farm. They also have a song titled "Strawberry Fields Forever"

I don't know any Beatles songs at the top of my head. I have definitely heard a few over the years but I have never listened to them :P

Lucy is hysterical, though she's pretty good at being blind to her own emotions and is a bit too eager to be liked, given her position.
I also love her father. Her parents are awesome.

I got into them when John Lennon was killed and it became all Beatles all the time. Those two songs are very well-known, but then many of their songs are.

Chapter 16

PS - was almost late for work this morning because I didn't want to put the book down!

Yes I noticed that too. Yeah the sounds of her swallowing is very slight but you will notice it. I just think maybe she tried to record it in few sittings possible.

I hear the Beatles a few times a week, the boyfriend is a rather big fan.

"
I never imagine ce..."
I don't know how or when that started for me Sho honestly haha, but I was trying to be an actor/screen writer for almost 10 years so might just be engrained in my film casting brain.

Gisela I like the idea of her too! I think I started think Portman almost purely because of the way she acted in Where the Heart Is, she was so funny in that. lol.

I am noticing and swooning over the same little things as you are apparently! haha.

Chapter 25

I'll be done with this by this evening...for sure HA.

Since we already mentioned a few songs...
Anyone else think of Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" when Josh says:“We’ll never, ever be friends.”?

."
Totally agree!

Yes it seems when she gets tired of reading this happens. I really enjoyed the audiobook despite that!

Yes Josh and his little romantic gestures! He is swoon-worthy!

OMG I saw that on the news last night and immediately thought of you. I was going to message you to make sure you were alright!

I WANT! Or even a chapter! I really want!

Sho...

...but as you are all are saying there was a lot we missed out on not having Josh's POV. I think a novella is in order!

I listened to most of it all over again! That last chapter....

I did the same thing. LOL!

I honestly could NOT get Portman out of my brain for some reason and it was mostly because of that movie she was in with Ashton Kutcher - No Strings Attached, where his character ALSO constantly quips about her being so short, haha. She was really cute and funny in that flick.

I honestly could NOT get Portman out..."
I haven't seen that one, but it sounds good. I'll give it a try :)

1. Yes, I knew, but not that specifically
2. I had no idea. She was certain it did, but I couldn't figure out if that was the case.
3. Yes, and I figured he thought she would know based on their conversation
4. Yes, immediately (view spoiler)
5. No, Lucy's reaction was reasonable, though he did kind of warn her
6. That was an awesome scene! And I also loved the reactions of the others
7. I thought Lucy was effective--people did do their jobs. She mostly needed to work on her boundaries
8. Yes. No. I wasn't sure how it would be resolved, but thought that was a very realistic way (view spoiler)
9. Yes, I reread books all the time. I enjoyed this one a lot, but don't know yet if I'll want to reread it. I choose rereads based on my mood at the time
10. Well, I got this one from the library. So, I'm more likely to request the next one early so I'm first on the holds list

#1 – Oh, yeah. I remember that story now.
#4 – Logical conclusion.
#5 – Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t have liked walking in there “blind.”
#6 – **chuckles**
#9 – Looks like you joined the club!
#10 – I felt the same about those.

#3 – Yeah, that went completely over her head.
#5 – He did give her a warning… but he wasn’t specific.
#6 - **chuckles**
#8 – Ah!
#9 – I’m a very moody reader, too.

#2 – You’re so clever.
#4 – Yes, really, when you think about it… there were two good reasons Josh didn’t want to go to the awful wedding!
#5 – LOL! Make-up sex is usually pretty good. **coughcough**
#9 – The audio was great and I’m glad I “re-read” via audio. However, I started with the audio and had to switch b/c I wanted to devour the book to faster than the narrator could speak – at 2Xs. LOL! It really grabbed me.
#10 – Oh! I should follow her. Good idea.
