SOLVED. A teenage girl finds secret letters (from an ancestor?) in a secret compartment in a bookcase (?) of the old home her family has just moved into. I think it's set in Australia? (I want to say Kapunda, South Australia but I'm not sure?) [s]

I read it over ten years ago when I was at school! It's stuck with me always because of the hidden compartment where the letter were found. I think they're written from her great grandmother?? I'm pretty sure the house her family moves to has been in the family for years?? Please help if you know what it's called (or if I'm making any sense lol)
