It's that time again, my friends! I thought that since we are now at the first days of the new year, we should mark the occasion by reading mystery/crime/thriller series openers. So this month you'll be nominating first books in a series. Please do NOT nominate an author we've previously read and please make sure it is the first book in an ongoing series.

link to group bookshelf:

https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

You should have absolutely no problems finding info about mystery/crime/thriller series -- there are several really good places on line if your mind draws a blank.

PLEASE don't nominate a book unless you are 100 per cent willing to be the discussion leader if your choice wins.

And as always, authors, this is NOT the venue for promoting your own work.

Now, on with the nominations!

Oops. I sent a message to everyone and left off the link to get to this thread.

message 4: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Reynolds | 2 comments I've been a member for some time now. This month has been the first time I have actually dedicated time to read the selected book, which I am thoroughly enjoying. Also, I have never participated in the discussion, so this should be fun!

My nomination for the next book is Gorky Park by Martin Cruz Smith.

Angela Hausman (angie_hausman) | 6 comments I don't know if it's ok to nominate my own book, but the first in the Buried Ladies series was just released and I'd love to lead a discussion to learn how to improve future books in the series.

Ignore if this is inappropriate.

Yeah, it really isn't the place, but what you could do is if you get enough interested people is set up a buddy read for your book (we have a separate topic thread for buddy reads). That would definitely be okay.

It's largely in the eye of the beholder. Fortunately, this group includes all three so it doesn't really matter.
