Rat (meownarchy) | 3 comments I remember reading this book when I was in 3rd or 4th grade in the early 2000s.

It was not a picture book but like an illustrated novelette for kids.

A goose or a duck or some sort of bird comes into a little boy's house at night. The bird asks the little boy to make his corn flakes soup. The boy is confused and asks what that is, and the bird explains that it is cornflakes with milk. The boy argues that that would just be cornflakes. The bird explains that adding the milk makes it a soup.

After that, the bird takes the little boy flying around the city. He explains something about the starts or the moon to the little boy.

I think the cover is a dark blue or another dark color. The illustrations were in a rather "crude" style.

Does anyone else remember this book??

Rachel, I moved your request to the Unsolved folder because you're looking for a specific book.
