I tend to buy (or download for free) lots of self-published books, so this should be easy. Do you have any favorites?

Mary Arkless | 153 comments I have just read "What We Love Most About Life: Answers from 150 Children Across the Autism Spectrum" compiled and self-published by Chris Bonnello. I wouldn't call it a favorite, but it should make anyone smile.

Xanthi (libertine101) I rarely read self published books. I think I may have *one* book on my shelves that might be self published. Will have to dig it out.

I am surprised that I've read only one so far for the year. Agent to the Stars was John Scalzi's "tester" novel, the one he wrote just to see if he could. Of course, it's been picked up by a real publisher, but originally he published it himself. (This means that books like Wool and The Martian count for this prompt as well.)

Laura | 144 comments The Tiniest Vampire - I suppose this could also count for the illustrated children's book, now that I think about it.
