Good to know, Alice, thanks. I loved the first book, but have been hesitant to read the next, wondering how it would hold up to the first.

I will admit I am a bit tired of books in occupied France during WWII, but I do very much enjoy Juliet Blackwell books. The story pulled me right in book.

I am reading Sisters

This one has Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine in it, so it is a special treat.
Alway a good glimple into history with a good mystery.
Read Where Serpents Sleep by C.S. Harris. An excellent historical mystery set in England early 1800s. I am a Hero Jarvis fan, daughter of St. Cyr's archenemy.
Can't wait to see what happens. Started the next in series - What Remains of Heaven

That series is so addictive! I love what a mess Sebastian's life was in the early books. Poor guy. The women in the series are pretty amazing!

I'm currently reading a book that's like a queer Hallmark holiday story...aside from some iffy writing and repetition, it's kind of cute. It's called In the Event of Love by Courtney Kae.

Meg, try your local library. Ours had it back when Daughter wanted to watch it, but that was several years ago.

I had so much fun with them that I started reading her other series, which I thought was another historical mystery series, but it might be romance? I'm only one book in and there's a spy plot, but it's also heavy on romantic elements. It's called The Harlow Hoyden. It's not as outrageous as the Beatrice Hyde-Clare series, but still a fun romp.

Desperation in Death
Knew from the way this started Eve and Company would be taking these (expletive deleted) down hard. I love these sleepless co-ordinated take downs with everyone involved.

Both of these RomComs are by Jennifer Youngblood
Onward to some Cozies! 😍

This was a great book. Has anyone seen the movie after reading the book?

Fascinating! That's quite a break from the historical mystery/romance she's known for.
