Thanks for your comment. I still have to read the third one and I think now I could listen to the audiobook if it is not that good... I loved the second one too!
What did you think of them Cherie?
I started the Percy Jackson series this summer and I really liked the first one, I thought it was fun and refreshing ;-)

I read the books - the first two several times, and have no idea about the audio, so I cannot comment. That said, - many others did enjoy the audio books for this trilogy.
It was a long time between the second book and when the third book came out. I started reading it, and realized that I had forgotten what was going on at the end of the second book, so I started re-reading the ending to find out what I could not remember. Then, I realized that I enjoyed it so much, that I decided to go back and re-read the first book before I started back into the third book. Yeah, I know, crazy! You are right. ;) I do not want to discourage your opinion for the third book. Let us just say that I was not a huge fan of the final book. There are many reasons, and many other people did not see it, as I did. You need to read it and see what you think. I believe I posted a review, and if you look around here in this group threads, I believe we did a buddy read too.
I killed off the Harry Potter series! Of course, I had already read it once, so it wasn't actually on my list of series to kill off, but I killed it a second time anyway.
I have to many series to go back and kill ones I've already read again. That's some good going Jannene. I am planning on two series rereads though - my favourite series, Demon Cycle, starting with The Warded Man and kingkiller chronicles starting with The Name of the Wind. Maybe Game of Thrones but not for a long while.
I'm reading 'The Name of the Wind' in October for a fantasy buddy read. Has been to long on my TBR - pile.
I killed the All Souls trilogy.I can't decide if the second or the third one was the best, but I liked them both very much!
I also am rereading the Harry Potter series (this time in English) and I enjoy it very much too...

I finally killed another series! I finished the Newsflesh trilogy with the final book, Blackout. There is a fourth book, Feedback, but it's from the viewpoint of another news team and revisits the story. I'm going to call it done after the original trilogy.
I'm not making much progress on my series books, but I decided to read the second Mercy Thompson series book, Blood Bound, today. I think I might apply it to my yearly challenge. Peggy was "thinking outside the box" for me and suggested it.
It will work for tattoo on the cover, if you don't have any tattoos, Cherie. I'm using one of her books for that.
I am working on a series now. I feel like I haven't read any series books for a while which has been a pleasant change. Now working on the Demon Cycle series with The Skull Throne Which will temporarily kill it until the new one is released at the end of the month.
I've quit the Sorcery Ascendant trilogy after book 2, Blood of Innocents. In a sense, I've killed that series.
Kristie wrote: "It will work for tattoo on the cover, if you don't have any tattoos, Cherie. I'm using one of her books for that."I used the first one for my tattoo on the cover book, Janice, but thanks. I saw a really cute tattoo on a FB post though. It was a girl in a tutu holding an umbrella, walking on a tight wire. The wire was a line around the mid-thigh of the person in the photo.
It was very simple and I thought it was very sweet, not that I want one, still.
I finished my 2nd Mercy Thompson book, Blood Bound and used it for my yearly challenge. I am about to start listening to my first Charley Davidson story with, First Grave on the Right. This is for my yearly challenge too.I have the first series book of 100 Cupboards downloaded too.100 Cupboards. I started listening to the 2nd book in the series, and became curious about how it all started. This one is a children's book for middle readers, I think. There are only three. I liked the cover.
I finished two firsts in a series, Beautiful Creatures and Waterfall and won't read any further in either series. I've killed those series, just not by finishing them.
I finished the first and second 100 Cupboards books. Now, I need to find the third one and kill the trilogy. Charley Davidson will go on my list and I will keep on with Mercy Thompson. I have the second Succubus book on my Nook, waiting.
Well, it's been awhile since I caught up here. Looks like a few people are still working on their series. :)
I finished a few, including a new orphan book that just came out Monster Hunter Siege. So I'm caught up with that series for now.
I'm also caught up with these:
A Peace Divided
Stiletto
The Couturier of Milan
The Shattered Tree (new book out this month though)
In This Grave Hour (new book out next year)
I've only managed to kill one series though The Spies of Sobeck by Paul Doherty was the last book in that series.
The Apothecary Rose - will not continueThe Red Knight - will not continue
The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack - will not continue
The Emperor's Blades - will not continue
The Aeronaut's Windlass - need the next book asap
The Fallen Blade - will not continue
Nexus - will not continue
Murder by Misrule - will not continue
The Silver Pigs - will not continue
As far as I can see I'm the only one of my friends who thinks it's a dud, so you should try it. I was just not that thrilled with the world or the characters. It was so typical, nothing interesting. I could almost predict everything that was going to happen. Maybe I've been reading too many of these type of books.
Ah, I really liked the nexus series. I have book 3 left to read. What didn't you like about it Dawn?
I killed a trilogy called 100 Cupboards by N.D. Wilson. I had not planned on it, but my daughter and grandkids had listened to the books and I really, really loved the narrator, Russell Horton. It was a strange story, definitely in the magic realism genre. It worked out, because I discovered bows and arrows being used in the last book and it all owed me a toppler read.I started the Lord Peter Wimsey series for the toppler too, with Whose Body?.
Jannene wrote: "I just finished the Shatter Me series. Shatter Me, Unravel Me, and Ignite Me"Did you liked it?

The first book the MC (Juliette) was pathetic and repetitive. She was driving me nuts. There were other characters that made this book great like Kenji.
The second book was better than the first because Juliette started evolving more. Then there was Kenji who still was cracking the jokes to keep everyone entertained.
The third book was my favorite. Juliette realizes her true potential and embraces it. Kenji evolves even more and shows sides of himself outside of the jokes. Other characters evolve as well that the reader never expected. I loved this book. I am not sure why the author is doing a fourth since this one was a perfect ending.

I wonder how Carla is doing with the All Souls Trilogy?
I just finished another 1st-in-series book. It is a YA series called "Summoner". [..."
Funny you should ask Cherie! I brought them with me on vacation and finished them off.
All Souls Trilogy is complete.
