I loved War for the Oaks. Really just a fun, well-written urban fantasy story. Total "must read" if you like urban fantasy and rock. Trust in Axion was also a fun read! Good work, Bruce!
Now I'm zipping through Touch and it's just fascinating. Also reading Uprooted but I dunno about it yet. It's not living up to its first line so far, and once again I suspect this is a kissing book. If it doesn't jive with me soon, I'm gonna table it and move on to one of our other group reads!

I am about to finish Joan Hess' 16 book Maggody mystery series. Good quick fun reading.Still working on Kushiel's Dart which I'm not enjoying as much. I guess I'm not into sadomasochism so that's why it's turning me off a bit.
Finished Shadowplay and started Shadowrise both of which are a good slow, intricate read with lots oc=f characters and plotlines that are starting to come together. I do like Tad Williams.
I also finished Hardcore Twenty-Four which is the latest Stephanie Plum mystery. Pretty good read.

Just finished The Stars My Destination. It is a fantastic read. So glad I finally got round to it. I've added The Demolished Man to my to read list, hoping it'll be just as impressive. Currently reading Superman: Last Son and listening to The Martian.
S L O W L Y finishing Morning Star. My reading time has taken a severe hit due to a cross country move and all the subsequent joys that come with that. Looking forward to a book filled 2018!

Means I do have to go through my DTBs and cull even more than I did when we moved to France and had to put everything in storage. We're hoping to downsize a bit.
I expect my current book to last me until at least tomorrow, so here are the last couple of things I’ve read in 2017, since my last post:* The sweaty and muttery Lord of Chaos, the 6th book in The Wheel of Time. Despite my sarcasm, I’m still enjoying this series a lot. I’ve rated all six books at 4.5 stars (rounding up to 5 here on GR) because the things I like about it are outweighing the flaws. My review.
* The Strike at Shayol Ghul. This is an extremely short story (6 pages) explaining some back story for The Wheel of Time. My review.
I’m now taking a short break from WoT to read The Anubis Gates by Tim Powers. I’m about 100 pages in and I wasn’t too sure about it at first, but now I’m getting increasingly caught up in the story.
DTB is a tad bit shorter than typing out physical book INMHO. i did come here when the Kindle/Amazon forums were closed,so I'm used to DTB.
Hahaha! Thanks everyone!I think I… (1) have known that before, and (2) should still have known that now!
I just want to announce that I'm very happily not reading anything! I think I might take a few days off and just watch TV and play around with my reading stats spreadsheet.
currently reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? i am almost finished so up next will be Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said
I've been tearing through the Demon Cycle in audio:The Daylight War - ★★★★☆ - (My Review)
The Skull Throne - ★★★★☆ - (My Review)
I also did a review of my year as a whole: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I just finished The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden. I really liked it, even loved it. It is #11 of the 12 books from the shelf I've read this year. I'm now reading Geekerella by Ashley Poston. If I finish it tonight, I will have read 154 books in 2017.
