I saw this is a Kindle Daily Deal today. I added to my TBR but didn't actually buy it yet.

I have this one, Kimey, but haven't read it yet. The reviews have been positive from my GR friends.

I'm about 3/4 the way through this book and really enjoying it!

I really liked I, Claudius

So did I, but I listened to BBC verion which was an all cast performance.
Jackie, I have Magpie Murders and I'm looking forward to it.

Next up is A Death in Vienna, if I can find it. I still haven't unpacked my books so I'll have to go hunting for it this evening. This will be a leftover stew challenge read (from last year's geocache challenge).

I saw the BBC Miniserie too, year ago (20 Century. LOL!)

Peggy, I got that freebee too. Let me know what you think.

Maria that's the great thing about you tube - you can relive the 20th to hearts content lol

So far it's not bad.

Some things from the 20s should never be brought back! (I can sustain my argument with sufficient proof, if You like!)

Me too, Peggy. We'll all be awaiting your judgement

Thank you, Rusalka for finding the thread. It was such a great idea!

Margo, Magpie Murders continues to get more interesting. Everytime I think I have figured it out, more people are introduced that can be added to the suspect list!

I like this idea!

Midsommer Murders hasn'd been the same since Horowitz stopped writing the scripts. I'd like to bump it up my list but I'm trying very hard to finish off the annual challenge.

I'm reading Le Guide Officiel To Being British; I'd love to hear what our British members think about it.

At this point, it will likely be a 3 star read for me mainly because it drags along. I don't know how much of the book is King's, or how much of the book is his son Owen's. I read somewhere that Owen tends to be more satirical in his writing, so perhaps he's the main contributor.
I know some people are put off by the satirical political commentary. Many authors do write their books with a political agenda. King certainly wasn't the first, and won't be the last.
