In this 6th book in the series, Harry Hole and his team are trying to stop a Croatian hitman who's after a Norwegian Salvation Army worker. Lots of action in this thriller. 4 stars

In this addtion to the 'Navajo Tribal Mysteries' - being continued by author Anne Hillerman - Bernie and Chee (with help from Joe Leaphorn) investigate a deadly car bombing. Pretty good mystery, but not quite up to Tony Hillerman's standards. 3 stars

I think that the publisher should put the blurb on the cover where the author says that he believes President Kennedy was shot by a secret service agent. Readers should be warned what they are getting into.

Tim Smith I just finished reading Murder as a Fine Art by David Morrell. It's a good book to read this time of year. It's a historical thriller that takes place in Victorian London where a copycat serial killer is started brutally murdering people in London the exact same way some murders were done 43 years before that. You can read my review at http://world-of-sleuths.blogspot.com/....

I am starting to read Burnt Sienna by David Morrell.

In WWII, two British flyers get shot down and - by dint of luck and cunning- are able to disguise themselves as Germans in a German mental hospital. They have to endure electroshock and other 'therapies'....and things get dicey. Intense psychological drama....rather graphic. 3 stars
