Review~ As with the last couple of books in this series, I have been completely lost trying to figure out the storyline. This one started that way as well. I did finally figure out the plot & the fact that Elena & Raphael were center stage with this one was a plus. I love these 2 characters. The love they have for each other is so real & genuine. I cant wait to read more about them.

Title/Author: One Fell Sweep by Ilona Andrews
Series: Innkeeper Chronicles #3
Date Read: 2/21/2017
Shelf: Vampires
Pages: 257
Rating: ★★★★★
Review: This is more of an Aliens vs Vampires book, but galactic Vampires are again, front and center in this episode of the Innkeeper Chronicles. Dina runs the Gertrude Hunt Inn on Earth that is more of an intergalactic bed & breakfast. Her guests are her utmost priority and with the alien challenges and dangers that reside in this IA world, she has to use her magical powers to protect and provide for a variety of aliens and situations. Her inn has portals and magic that can transform for any need that arises, including a full arsenal of weapons to protect and defend when needed. Dina first has to call in a favor from Lord Arland, to assist her to rescue her sister from a vampire planet that she and her daughter have been exiled to by her husband's vampire family. The action was pretty much non-stop as she is protecting an almost extinct species that is threatened by the race of aliens that hunt and kill them for their own religious craziness. I am amazed at the imagination of this writing team and the direction that these stories take is so very creative and unique. Its definitely one my favorite book journeys to take as every situation and character seems to have so many layers, you just have to enjoy the ride.
I can tell this shelf isn't my thing... but after wading thru the YA ones again, here is a short list of qualifiers...

It was a good start to the series. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next with Luce and Daniel but I hope things will get better throughout the series and they can finally figure out how they can be together without all ones who are trying to stop them from being together.
Just realised i forgot to post st my book review for favourite series!

As much as I love the dark hunter series this book was confusing, jumping backwards and forwards and to other characters. Bit series character were also introduced as major characters without proper introductions and it was very wordy and poorly written. I will preserve since I'm so invested and hope they go back original
I just thought you might not have finished it but good to know you did. I'll add it in the morning :)
Nope, just completely forgot. Had jiffy shift on the weekend then a 2 day conference mon-tues. Halfway through
for vampires and I have 2-3 chapters left to listen to for
so I'll finish that today or tomorrow. My mythology pick:

Review~ I have really enjoyed this series & this book did not disappoint me. Merit & Evan are still growing in their relationship. This time Merit & Evan driven apart simply because Evan is so wrapped up in becoming the head of the GC that he doesn't see the toll it is taking on his relationship with Merit. Merit is drawn into a serial killer using the Tarot that all kinds of crazy begins to happen. Finally Evan & Merit make their way back into the positive of their relationship only to have the book end in another cliffhanger. I cant wait to see what new adventure these 2 are in for in the next book. CN has a way of creating a real world that it feels like if you were in Chicago that you would meet these people in real life...
Sorry. Forget to post when I finished.

Review: This is kind of a fun but dark romantic read. The heroine's sarcasm and ability to get herself into certain situations could be fun, or really frustrating depending on the mood of the reader at the time. The good, the creative idea of the whole gods are among us but stuck in cenotes (pools) in Mexico because of evil priests / cult... The travel and other supporting characters were good. The bad, the love triangle was only partially baked, so it never felt like a key component of the story and only pulled out at awkward moments or during internal thoughts and dialog. Emma was doing so good at times with all this world being dumped on her then she would turn around and make stupid stupid choices along with her wishy washy love for Guy. Ok, so this isn't my first MJP book and I had higher hopes for this series, since I really enjoyed the unique twist of her King Trilogy series. This one fell a little short for me. I am used to her extremely arrogant alpha male hero characters, and of course this one should be one of the worst, since he was a 70k year old God. Guy was definitely over the top, but he became more likeable as the book progresses. Not sure if I'm going to continue with the series, but glad I finally got this one off my to read list.

Review: Great mystery series following Eve Dallas, primary detective on a serial killer case that's set in the future. The victims are lisensed prostitutes that are being shot with guns that are considered antiques. One of the suspects is an Irish billionaire, Roarke who becomes her love interest. Really enjoyed Eve and Roarke's characters and chemistry. This initial story delves into some dark subject matter which is intertwined with Eve's backstory. Looks like I found a new series to add to my favorites.
