I'm planning to read
The Friday Society
, a novel about three young women solving a murder in turn-of-the-century London.
Beauty Queens
is another novel I plan to read because there isn't really a more adventurous setting than a deserted island, is there? Assuming I can get hold of it, I want to read
Ruin and Rising
, which promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the Grisha Trilogy. Of course, I could end up changing my mind upon reviewing the display tables at the library. I've found a few books I never would have read through these mini challenges!
I'm going to start on The Martian by Andy Weir after I finish my current read. It's been described to me as "Castaway set in space" and it came highly recommended. One that I finished recently that would definitely count as adventure, is Unbroken! Absolutely amazing story that will have your jaw dropped through most of it!
"The Martian" sounds really interesting. I still need to find my June book. I want to read something outside of what I'd normally be drawn to, though, and I am a big space fan. I'll add it to my list anyway!

The Friday Society sounds like something that I would want to read for my June adventure book. Steampunk and mystery? Sounds like a plan to me.

June has always been, in my mind, one of the best months to have an adventure - from going to an amusement park to exploring a National Park to taking that camping trip you've always said you would take. To celebrate the adventurous spirit that June evokes, let's read a book that is a thrilling, action-packed adventure!
Share the book(s) you plan to read here and let us know if you have any suggestions. I have yet to pick my book so please send some recommendations my way!
