So this section was definitely the best part for me, but I'm left with a lot of questions.
I really enjoyed the chapter with Seaine and the investigation into the Black Ajah. It appears as though they might have finally found their first one with Talene. That hasn't been confirmed of course, but she's looking awfully suspect where things leave off..
Logain has resurfaced. It appears he's now at the Black Tower. It also appears he and Mazarim Taim aren't on great terms. They also are apparently about equal in strength in the power. Did he just bond that Aes Sedai? Or is it some kind of compulsion? The other Ashaman used the phrase "take another one".
Rand was attacked and would have been dead if not for his decision to visit Cadsuane. I'm still not entirely sure what happened. It's apparent that Dashiva was involved, but was he the head of the attack, or just a participant? Did he go mad? Is he a Dark Friend, or has the strange feel of the source left him susceptible to one of the Forsaken or Moradin?
That scene at the end with Rand and poisoning the young Ashaman who went mad was sad.
Finally, we learn that the Prophet of the Dragon has been meeting with the Seachan, and Perrin and a small group have walked right into his lair. He seems willing to go with Perrin to meet Rand, but is unwilling to travel. Is that all a ploy? The guy seems batshit crazy.
While Perrin is off with the Prophet, Faile is captured by the Shaido.
This book is entirely devoid of Mat, whose my favorite character. It's definitely one of the weaker books in the series but not as bad as the next two IIRC. I'm hoping I enjoy both of them more on my reread than I did the first time.
I'm kind of eager to wrap this series up. I'm hoping we can schedule the rest of the books every 2 or 3 weeks rather than the one every 1-1.5 month pace we've had until now. What do you guys think?

The scene with Seaine and the other sisters realizing Talene wouldn't take the vow was great. Wonder how they can make use of this to weed out other black ajah without them coming after them.
All of the scenes with the Ashaman, Prophet and Aes Sedai just show even more cracks and divisions in all the factions. I like how each force and nation we started with have all been divided and remolded into new factions. It really shows the Dragon Reborn remaking the world.
Failed and Morgause captured by the Shaido is going to be really tough on them. Poor Morgause can't stay out of trouble.
I missed Mat in this one also.
I would be good with a 2-3 week pace.

Yeah, good point. It's not just the Aiel he's put into upheaval, but everyone.
So I have my current audio book to finish, and then one more. I'll be traveling this weekend, which likely means less audio time than normal.
I'd say I'd be good to start Winter's Heart around the 23rd. I'll know better next week though.
I think the next 2 books will be the worst, and then things start to get really good with Knife of Dreams. Best to just rip the band aid off and get right through them IMHO.

We can. I've done it before. In fact that's the only one I've done in audio.
I don't remember when I read it, but based on publish order it would be between Crossroads of Twilight and Knife of Dreams
So maybe then? It's much shorter than the other books.

I thought the whole thing about Maesema meeting Senachan was a trap, and then the shaido appeared out of nowhere to capture Faile.
Was Moargese also captured ?
Also Egwene has reached outskirts of Tar Valon and the siege is about to begin, nothing seems to be working for Elaida first she is controlled by Alviran, second her ploy to destroy black tower completely failed when Torvaine was captured by Ashaman and finally the siege.
Also there is a dark friends traveling with Nyaneve and co as the two I think Aes sedai are murdered.
Elayne finally claims the throne of Andor.
I am ok with 23rd I was planning to start The Summer Tree but now will jump into Winter's Heart directly.

I believe so, yes.

She's asserted her claim to the throen, but she's not yet the Queen. Maybe that's what you meant though, and I'm nitpicking..
