Karen (raspberrybee) | 3 comments Hello there :) I'd like to join in on the fun for 2017. I work at my local library and am trying to start up a YA book club. We are 3 months in and well, struggling to get attention/attendance. I have faith!!

Our library (Oklahoma) has one but they are during the day and they really not into YA. Regardless of what they were reading, I'm sure I would just enjoy the opportunity to meet people, hang out and talk about books, but like I said its during the day and I work.

Where is yours and what time do you have it? The time might be the reason for the low numbers.

Good Luck Karen!!

Karen (raspberrybee) | 3 comments Hi there Elsa! Book Club was originally directed at teens. We are right next door to the High School and down the street from the Jr High....small town :) Kids get out of school just before 3. I have made a snazzy sign to place out front to try and get kids attention this coming Tuesday....1st day back AND Book Club day. We read Serpent King for January discussion. There is not a lot of communication between school and Library (19 branches county wide). Hoping that the sign and word of mouth will pick up for next month??

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 34 comments Hay Karen,
Tried to send you a message but your not accepting any messages. I just hate to keep post here since it for the challenge and not necessary discussions. But I just wanted to give you a suggestion to get those kids in there and getting the club going. Have you tried bribing them with snacks. LOL Works every time.

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 34 comments I started off great!
But right now I'm stuck :(
I got three books started, I hate that. Two are for actual book clubs and the third one is for this challenge. I'm hoping I'll be done by Thursday and then I can update my challenge!
