I might start today, don't want to be behind on this one :)

Josen (josens) | 75 comments I was lucky enough to snag this from my library but since it's a "new" book I only get it for 14 days. So I started reading it last night and I am hooked! I'm 90 pages in and really good so far!

Finally started this bad boy. Excited to start a new fresh year of reading, I literally spend 3 days in bed reading to make my challenge and I was worried I'd be sick of reading for the week but this is grabbing me :)

Lol wow that's determination! This was a fast read for me I couldn't put it down. I thought it was really good! Gave it 5 stars.

Dolores | 3 comments I am looking forward to reading Dark Matter. I am reading a new author to start the new year.

Vicki Willis I started this one too and I can't put it down already.
I do have a question though for those who have already read it.

Lena | 2673 comments I remember them wasting a lot of time for various, usually emotional, reasons.

You'll never look at homeless people the same.

Barb (Boxermommyreads) (boxermommy) | 8 comments Hope to start this one mid-month. I grabbed it for my kindle last week when it was a daily deal!

Hmm........I did kinda' wonder that myself. But because of the sci-fi explanations of everything that went over my head, I kinda' let it go. Hahaha! Maybe someone will explain.

Vicki Willis I finished it. Wow, that was a great book. I feel sorry for all the books that have to follow this one now since it is only the 4th day of the year!

Thanks Tim. I figured something like that. That (view spoiler)

Deborah (brandiec) | 229 comments Has anybody else seen the movie Coherence? Dark Matter brought it to mind for me immediately.

message 38: by Ankita (last edited Jan 04, 2017 08:57PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Ankita Padhi (ankitapadhi) Finished the book in a single sitting. Wow. I am left with no words to express the rollercoaster of emotions and thoughts I'm going through right now. I'm definitely going to be more aware about the choices I make and there consequences from now on. Truly a masterpiece.

Josen (josens) | 75 comments Deborah wrote: "Has anybody else seen the movie Coherence? Dark Matter brought it to mind for me immediately."

Never heard of it. Will have to look it up.

I actually read 'In the miso soup' on December 31st and was left with an empty soul afterwards. A very gory end to my book reading in 2016.

Oy, that book is brutal. That scene inside the bar? *shudder*

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments For books with these kind of time shifting, twisting plots, I try to understand as much as I can, and other times I just absorb the story and go on the wild ride. So this next question may be something I just missed, or perhaps something that is common sense and I don't have any, lol.

Vicki Willis I wondered the same thing Tressa because (view spoiler)

Jen from Quebec :0) (muppetbaby99) | 397 comments Man, this is going to sound ridiculous to some of you, but....my mail box was frozen shut before I took off on a week long holiday/family road trip, and the book was IN THE MAILBOX and I could not physically get to it (my plan had been to read it on the trip, but, I settled for a re-read of THE GUNSLINGER instead)....I arrived back home today and the mail box was, again, frozen completely over. Key could not even go into keyhole. So, I walked out into this crazy Canadian winter FOUR times today and FINALLY have the copy of the book in my hands. It's like the world doesn't want me to read this book...Hmmmm...*shudder* OK, perfect time to start reading it, eh? -Jen from Quebec :0)

I know right,I wanted something to read on 31st and asked for recommendation and someone recommended that book. Blew me away because I was so not expecting that.

Did you enjoy Chapelwood? I loved the first one but I know a lot of people had mixed feelings about it.
