Yes, please and thank you! I am not in KU. I've thought about it; but with my local library, Cloud Library, and Hoopla, I have not been lacking books to read.
Mariana,What is cloud library?
The libraries I use don't have a good selection of HR. I have Overdrive with 3 library systems and Hoopla. I'm not happy with their HR that the have. Also the main library I would use for hard copy books is lacking in a good HR selection.
I offered these Viking books because if I were doing this challenge, I would hate to pay for a book in a dreaded category.
If you decide to borrow, please pm you email addy and which book you want to try--or both.

Cloud Library is programmed by 3M. If your public library participates, you simply create an account with your library card number.

Aw, a tradeoff! Although both have both, my impression is Hoopla has a better audiobook selection; and Cloud Library has a better and more revolving ebook selection. With CL, it's best to read a book within 9 to 12 months of release, or it might disappear.

I just finished the first book in the Westmoreland series. For my second book, I was thinking something by Kathryn Le Veque.
Do you recommend one in particular?I was thinking The Fallen One or The Savage Curtain simply because I own both Kindle versions in a box set.
I think I own some KLV medieval boxed sets. Approximately 2 years ago, several medieval boxed sets were marked down to $.99.I still haven't read them though.

I did the same thing. I coudn't get into the first story in the set, so I never started the other books.

Thanks for the link! I read one of these last year. I might try The Queen's Handmaiden. I like the books I've read by Jennifer Ashley.
I completed my second western and will finish my second pirate this month. Then, I just need to conquer Tudor and Elizabethan in this last quarter.
I finished 14 books. The only one subgenre left is Georgian. I still haven't decided what to read for this.

I went through my star ratings of this year's books. Most are 3 stars with one 1 star and one 5 starred book. I hope the books I selected for next year are better.

Yeah I think LK's recent books are much better than her older ones. Prince of Dreams is marked as published in 1995. More than 20 years development as a writer since then. The description/blurb of PoD sounds pretty lame, actually. I don't think I'll go there. (I'm not a TT fan either, Ally).

Mary Tudor by Victor Hugo - completed 10/8/2017, 5 stars
The Victor Hugo play was the only one I enjoyed, but both it and Letter of Love were short. The Magnificent Rogue was long and mediocre.

I have two Viking kindle lendable that aren't very long.
1) Alrek --the Viking doesn't do anything accept help the heroine--a little over 80 pages
2) Insolent --this is a KU book, but if you are not in KU, I can lend. This has a slight paranormal element.
I don't think either of these Vikings HR have what probably make you dread Viking titles--not very long either.
