message 133: by ~KarenH~, Moderator (new)

~KarenH~ | 11343 comments Hi Elke! Again, I'm so sorry to make you wait so long! This holiday season has just done me in...between finding out 10 days before Christmas that it was going to be at my house, and then spending 2+ of those 10 days sitting in the hospital with my mom, my brain is just about fried. I picked one from your preferred shelf and one new to you for each category, so hopefully you'll find plenty of interest to choose from!

1. Archie:
TBR: Under Pressure - Haven't read this, but Lori Foster's RS are always good.
New: Virgin River - There's just something about Robyn Carr...her books are like comfort food for me, especially in audio.

2. Betty &Veronica:
TBR: Rock Chick Reawakening
New: 72 Hours - This is one of Shannon Stacey's very early works - I like her newer stuff better, but this was still good.

3. Moose:
TBR: Pucked Up - I really don't need to know about another hockey series...
New: Alex

4. Jughead Jones:
TBR: Eleventh Grave in Moonlight - I need to get back to this series...still a few books back
New: Into the Fire - If you do the A-Z yearly challenges, this is a 'U' author!

5. Kevin Keller:
TBR: Blood Vow - I've got this on my list for January, too...can't wait!
New: The Ghost on My Couch - I didn't notice any m/m on your shelves, and I generally don't recommend it unless I know the person I'm picking for is interested. If you're not, of course feel free to just ignore this one, but if you are, this is a very sweet, funny story with no sex (on or off the page).

6. Josie & the Pussycats:
TBR: Kodiak's Claim - Eve Langlais always just makes me laugh
New: Play

7. The Archie Gang:
TBR: Silver Girl - I need to check this one out more - sounds very interesting!
New: The Substitute - I was very pleasantly surprised by this - picked it up on a whim as a freebie, and ended up really enjoying it and adding the rest of the series to my wishlist!

8. Riverdale:
TBR: Collide
New: The Sweet Gum Tree - This is one of those books that has so many things in it that I usually don't care for, but somehow it just sucked me in and stayed with me long after I finished it.

Happy Reading!

Fran, I am working on Valeria's picks, but if you want Tammie to do it, that's fine. I have had so much company until 3:30 this morning that I couldn't get to it until now.

Kiara Can i start reading my books as soon as i get them because they just came in the library today. Is it okay if i read them now or do i actually have to wait till January?

message 144: by Kiara (new)

Kiara Anyone answer ASAP please, thank you.

message 145: by ~KarenH~, Moderator (new)

~KarenH~ | 11343 comments Hi Kiara...in order for the book to count for the challenge, you need to wait until next month. But remember, you only need to read one to complete the challenge, so if you have more than one that you want to read and want to go ahead and start early that's fine, as long as you read one book completely in the month of January, start to finish.
