Deedee | 2344 comments Option 1: Charles de Lint count as CD?

message 55: by Sandi (last edited Jun 12, 2014 11:56AM) (new)

Sandi Barnes | 549 comments Deedee,

I think Charles de Lint certainly qualifies for the author initials CD as the prefix is part of his only surname. When posting for credit, include that it was approved in thread. Thanks!!

message 56: by Sandi (new)

Sandi Barnes | 549 comments It has come to my attention that the SRC ruling on names with a prefix is to treat all names with a space as separate names. So Charles de Lint would not qualify under standard rules.

That being said, an exception has been added for this task to allow the use of the surname prefix to be considered in determining the author's initials.

Thanks mods, for your help on this!
