				 Part of a Series:
Part of a Series:What are you reading this week?
* I am reading An Elegant Façade (Hawthorne House #2) by Kristi Ann Hunter
When did you read the first book?
* I was introduced to this author and this series about a year ago by downloading a free novella which is a "prequel" to this series (I think that she calls it book #0.5). I fell in love with the author so I went looking for the series. About four months ago I was able to get my hands on book 1.
How many books are in the series?
* A Lady of Esteem (Hawthorne House Book #0.5): A Novella
* A Noble Masquerade (Hawthorne House Book #1)
* An Elegant Façade (Hawthorne House Book #2)
* An Uncommon Courtship (Hawthorne House Book #3)
* Kristi Ann Hunter is currently working on a fourth book
How was the book? Will you continue with the series?
* I struggled some at first because I really didn't like Georgina and how she treated others around her. It was a little interesting to see part of Maranda and Ryland's story (characters from book #1) told from Georgina and Colin's point of view, but there was times I was thinking that I was ready for "new" storyline. In the end, I fell in love with the book and characters, even Georgina. I really enjoy reading about the Hawthorne family and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
 1. What are you reading this week?
      1. What are you reading this week?Mexico by Melody Carlson (#3 in the Notes from a Spinning Planet trilogy).
2. When did you read the first book?
I first read #1, Ireland, back in 2009 or 2010 (I think) but was never able to finish the trilogy. When I discovered my local library had the third book, I decided to reread the first two. I finished those the last week of 2016 and the first week of 2017.
3. How many books are in the series?
Sadly, just 3. The ending of Mexico leaves a possibility for another installment, but since it was published 10 years ago I doubt Melody Carlson will write any more books for Notes from a Spinning Planet.
4. How was the book? Will you continue with the series?
Overall it was good - better than the first book, but not quite as good as the second. I have a soft spot in my heart for Mexico because I served a Spanish-speaking mission and also lived in Mexico as an English teacher for a bit.
If there were more books for this particular story, I would definitely read them. Melody Carlson is an author that I will continue reading from time-to-time because her stories are pretty engaging. She's a Christian writer, so her work is very clean.
 1. What are you reading this week? Some Like It Hawk Some Like It Hawk by Donna Andrews. This is book 14 the Meg Langslow series.
      1. What are you reading this week? Some Like It Hawk Some Like It Hawk by Donna Andrews. This is book 14 the Meg Langslow series.2. When did you read the first book? About 2 years ago when I had health issues and couldn't do anything but sit and read. A my visiting teacher recommended that I read the Donna Andrew books.
3. How many books are in the series? There 22 to date, but I believe she is writing more. All of titles have some kind of bird in them. The latest book is how the Finch Stole Christmas
4. How was the book? Will you continue with the series? I started with book 1 and just finished 14, I love these books. It is best to read them in order. They have a continued story line of Meg's life and family. They are all mystery stories with a some funny family side stores in them. Reading these books I have learned about fainting goats, ultimate croquet and belted cows.
 - What are you reading this week? The Secret Circle The Hunt by L.J.Smith and Aubrey Clark
      - What are you reading this week? The Secret Circle The Hunt by L.J.Smith and Aubrey Clark- When did you read the first book? I Read the First Book "The Secret Circle The initiation" when I was a Junior in high school...21 years ago =)
- How many books are in the series? There are 6 books. The first 3 books came out in the 90s and were written by L.J. Smith and then the last three books came out after the TV show was created and were written by Aubrey Clark.
- How was the book? This book was the weakest in the series and I really didn't like the end that much.
Will you continue with the series? I will finish the last book just because I have stuck with the series for so long it would be a shame not to finish it. =)

      1. What are you reading this week?Friends and Foes by Sarah M. Eden
2. When did you read the first book?
This was the first book, but I have read several in this series, including this one, before. She just released a new one in the series and I thought I'd read through them again as a refresher.
3. How many books are in the series?
4 officially and a companion book.
4. How was the book? Will you continue with the series?
I will continue reading the series. I actually liked the book this time better than when I first read it. I really enjoyed the way Sorrell had to learn to rely on others and the way Philip let himself become her protector without encroaching on her independence.
I just finished A Purely Private Matter by Darcie Wilde, #2 in the Rosalind Thorne Mysteries. I just randomly picked it up from the library a few days ago in the NEW section. I did not read the first but that didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying this story and now I'm looking to get my hands on the first one as soon as possible. There are only 2 books in the series so far but there are sure to be more, which I will read as well. I really appreciated the research that Darcie Wilde put into creating this regency era, London-set world.

I'm behind reporting but had read this year "The Lunar Chronicles" by Marrisa Meyer. It had been on my to read list for a couple of years and thought to go for it. I couldn't put it down and read one after the other. Thankfully the last book came out as i was half way through the 3rd. 4 books based on fairy tale characters in futuristic Earth. Recommend for all, think teen girls will love this. I will also be including these books in one word titles.

I am starting up the 10th book (Rocky Road) in the culinary mystery series by Josi S. Kilpack (a Mormon author). I first read and started with the 3rd book in the series (Devil's Food Cake) and after reading it went back to the first in the series, Lemon Tart. I found Lemon Tart to be more invigorating and adventurous than the 3rd book, however, I think Ms. Kilpack develops characters that are more likable as she progresses in the series. By the 5th book (Blackberry Crumble) I think she hits her stride, and I found all the rest to be much more interesting than the first few. As I am someone who deals with a mental illness, I think because an anxiety or panic disorder for the main character is presented later in the series, that is why I find it more more readable and complex. I HIGHLY recommend the series for those who like good recipes, good humor, morally fit characters, and a little mystery! :)

I do plan to read the final book - Winter in 2018. My daughter and I are waiting for it to come out in Paperback. Though she has already read it in hardcover from the library. I have so many books to read I will just wait till the paperback is out at the end of January. Though it did end on a cliff hanger and am excited to see how it all ends.
I just finished the sequel to Under Cover! It's called Deep Cover - Escape from Cancún.
I just finished the sequel to Under Cover! It's called Deep Cover - Escape from Cancún. Here is the Video Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwlS8...
Escape from Cancún takes LDS newlywed couple Andie and Anson from Under Cover! fame on a new adventure. They travel from Malibu to Mexico on assignment with the FBI. This is a joint CIA/FBI experimental assignment to work together for the good of America.
Their assignment, besides enjoying their honeymoon, is to find and acquire their target witness for the prosecution in the felony trial of cartel leader, Luis Cardones.
Andie’s part is to play an interior designer for a four-star resort in Cancún charged with designing the new “look” for the resort in time for the grand opening which will not only be a star studded event, but the perfect opportunity to sneak away with Sangría Sanchez, the girlfriend of Luis Cardones.
Of course, obstacles by the opposition challenge their victory as well as personal and spiritual adventures like kidnapping, fear of flying, parasailing, wild animals, zip lining, being trapped in a Mayan Temple, charged with designing an escape route hidden in the remodeling plans for the Resort, missing their flight and much more become hurdles to clear towards the finish line. Join Andie and Anson as they Escape from Cancún!
