message 251: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman "Go on." Silver urged him.

message 252: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "Is it okay to ask about your past? If you're uncomfortable you don't have to but you just say something like that and..." John blushed and bit his lip.

message 253: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver smiled gently. "Go on. If I wish not to answer one, I'll say skip. Kay?"

message 254: by Rashia (last edited Aug 17, 2017 03:50PM) (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "Okay. And you can ask about me too if you want to..." He took a deep breath. "So, what's your family like? Do you have any siblings?"

message 255: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver thought carefully for a moment. "Before I answer that, do you like it when answers are sugarcoated? Because my family history isn't exactly pleasant to one's ears."

message 256: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "How about you tell me the bad part first and then tell me about the good stuff you remember before that." kind of like a this bad thing happened but this is the way I want to remember them thing. But he could never say that out loud because that was Grace's way of thinking.

message 257: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver tilted her head, looking at him curiously. "I have no siblings, none. My parents are bother buried in St. Perpetua's Graveyard. My uncle and cousin are both in prison for first degree murders and my aunt is dead. The only good thing about it was that my parents were the best people you would ever meet."

message 258: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments John took a minute to process all that before stupidly dead panning, "That was unexpected." He really hated how easy it was for him to blush and how his mouth sometimes spoke without him thinking, but he felt like "I'm sorry," would sound like pity but that's all he knew to say.

message 259: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver gave a sad laugh. "I know. I know." She said with a kind smile. "Death always is." Silver thought a moment. "Thank you for not saying sorry. I hear that too often." She added with another sad laugh. "Next question?"

message 260: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "How did you find out you were a demigod?"

message 261: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver smiled. "Well, I became suspicious when monsters kept attacking me and then we were led here. I found out who I was when I was claimed." She answered.

message 262: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "Cool. I only got attacked once before I found out and came here."

message 263: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman ((Hi Gaby!))

"Lucky." Silver muttered.

message 264: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "Hey, I was living on a mountain away from all civilization and there were mountain lions that would literally eat a cyclops no problem."

message 265: by Eve O. Spellman (last edited Aug 25, 2017 07:28PM) (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver laughed. "That's sweet. It sounds like a place I would like to live."

message 266: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "If it was just you maybe...I got to deal with all my nieces and nephews and brothers in law..."

message 267: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman ((Silver's is Athena))

"Are they nice?" Silver asked softly.

message 268: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments ((John's is Iris))

"They would legally adopt you if you visited." John deadpanned. "Like, actually adopt you. Not everyone lives at the house, but they visit a lot when they aren't at school or you know, their own houses."

message 269: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver smiled lopsidedly. "Sounds like a nice family." She said, feeling a stab of jealousy. "Do you like it there?"

message 270: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "Yeah. But you don't ever get your own space you know? Everyone knows everything, which is okay most of the time. And everyone's periods always sync up. That parts the worst, because it's just five immensely cranky people who are all craving different flavors of ice cream."

message 271: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver couldn't help but laugh. "Sorry but that's precious." She laughed. It took her a minute to stop laughing. "Sorry, sorry, sorry...."

((XD))

message 272: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "You think it's funny now..." But he was smiling, silently laughing with her.

message 273: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver smiled widely. "Sounds a lot better than my family."

message 274: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "You said your parents were the best though."

message 275: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver nodded sadly. "They were. But I only knew them for seven years."

message 276: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "I don't remember my parents." John whispered, trying not to say he had it worse but to show his life wasn't perfect either.

message 277: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver paused. "I am sorry to hear that but I am aware that does not help."

message 278: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments John flinched. People weren't his strong suit, no matter how extroverted he was.

message 279: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver noticed but did say a word. "But, anyways, you have a nice family."

message 280: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "Yeah."

message 281: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver looked over the field, silent.

((I don't know. sorry.))

message 282: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman ((np.))

message 283: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "I think we're done if you have something to go do." He hated how that might have sounded harsh, but the silence was awkward and he didn't know what to say.

message 284: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman "I don't. You?" Silver asked with a gentle smile.

message 286: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "I'd like to stay."

message 287: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman "Mind if I do too?"

message 288: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments "Not at all."

message 289: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman "Sweet." She smiled.

message 290: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments John smiled back, feeling much better.

message 291: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver sat down on the dirt with a relaxed sigh.

message 292: by Rashia (new)

Rashia | 237 comments John sat down next to her, rolling his neck to let it crack a few times before relaxing again. "Who knew a camp with a lava wall and a sword fighting arena could be so relaxing?"

message 293: by Eve O. Spellman (new)

Eve O. Spellman Silver laughed. "True!"
