"Go on." Silver urged him.

"Is it okay to ask about your past? If you're uncomfortable you don't have to but you just say something like that and..." John blushed and bit his lip.
"Okay. And you can ask about me too if you want to..." He took a deep breath. "So, what's your family like? Do you have any siblings?"
Silver thought carefully for a moment. "Before I answer that, do you like it when answers are sugarcoated? Because my family history isn't exactly pleasant to one's ears."
"How about you tell me the bad part first and then tell me about the good stuff you remember before that." kind of like a this bad thing happened but this is the way I want to remember them thing. But he could never say that out loud because that was Grace's way of thinking.
Silver tilted her head, looking at him curiously. "I have no siblings, none. My parents are bother buried in St. Perpetua's Graveyard. My uncle and cousin are both in prison for first degree murders and my aunt is dead. The only good thing about it was that my parents were the best people you would ever meet."
John took a minute to process all that before stupidly dead panning, "That was unexpected." He really hated how easy it was for him to blush and how his mouth sometimes spoke without him thinking, but he felt like "I'm sorry," would sound like pity but that's all he knew to say.
Silver gave a sad laugh. "I know. I know." She said with a kind smile. "Death always is." Silver thought a moment. "Thank you for not saying sorry. I hear that too often." She added with another sad laugh. "Next question?"
Silver smiled. "Well, I became suspicious when monsters kept attacking me and then we were led here. I found out who I was when I was claimed." She answered.
"Hey, I was living on a mountain away from all civilization and there were mountain lions that would literally eat a cyclops no problem."
((John's is Iris)) "They would legally adopt you if you visited." John deadpanned. "Like, actually adopt you. Not everyone lives at the house, but they visit a lot when they aren't at school or you know, their own houses."
Silver smiled lopsidedly. "Sounds like a nice family." She said, feeling a stab of jealousy. "Do you like it there?"
"Yeah. But you don't ever get your own space you know? Everyone knows everything, which is okay most of the time. And everyone's periods always sync up. That parts the worst, because it's just five immensely cranky people who are all craving different flavors of ice cream."
Silver couldn't help but laugh. "Sorry but that's precious." She laughed. It took her a minute to stop laughing. "Sorry, sorry, sorry...."((XD))
"I don't remember my parents." John whispered, trying not to say he had it worse but to show his life wasn't perfect either.
"I think we're done if you have something to go do." He hated how that might have sounded harsh, but the silence was awkward and he didn't know what to say.
