John smiled brightly and bowed. "Merci."

"Not really." He blushed lightly as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I like to do my own thing. Maria likes to joke that my birth name should have been Harmony or Melody." John froze for a second, before continuing hoping she wouldn't notice. "And with Karaoke you kind of have to do the bland version."
"See? Imagine if there was no John Cozart who did Disney parodies!" Johnathan chuckled at his own joke.
John gasped in horror. "Have you never seen a John Cozart video? Harry Potter, Star Wars and Lord of the rings in 99 seconds? After ever After?"
"Slow down. I have seen Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings but not in 99 seconds. What is After Ever After?"
John groaned and put the back of his hand on his forehead dramatically. "He's this YouTuber who took the opening credit music for those movies and sang a summary of each series. After Ever After is about the Disney Princesses, and what their loved would have been like after the movie ended."
John nodded quickly. "You'll love it and it will be stuck in your head for a week." His tone slipped into something joking at the end.
John smiled contently before realizing they had paused and were almost done the strawberries. He started walking, but slower this time.
"Ooo..That's hard." Silver said, thinking. "I don't know. I like Deathly Hallows Part Two but I also like a lot of Marvel and DC movies."
"I can't decide either, it all depends. I love Eragon and Lord of the Rings, but my favorite childhood movie was...don't judge...12 Dancing Princesses." He smiled proudly. He had a weird taste for everything, including movies. He would watch Toy Story and then have a Steven King movie marathon.
"Guitar hero. I can not play an actual guitar to save my life, but there are three songs that I have totally mastered on that game."
"Oh! I didn't have an X Box back home, that explains it." John shrugged. "My sister got a Wii though, I can't tell you how much we paid for in batteries because we had like eight remotes."
Silver gave a small laugh. "You've got a Wii? Lucky. I don't have any game system. I found out about that Xbox game at a teen event."
John wanted to invite her over to play during one of the breaks, but it suddenly hit him that they'd only been talking for maybe a few hours.
"I've never made friends this quickly before, it was usually just people that I waved to in the hallways or something but never really hung out with outside of school." John smiled faintly, the anxiety about camp he didn't know was there disappearing.

John suddenly noticed a lady bug on one of the plants, his mind going blank as he kneeled down to watch it....only for the small bug to fly into his hand. "I think it likes me."
"Why? Did you know they eat all the bad bugs that hurt the plants? Aphids and stuff...they're like little protectors."
John stared at her for a second before laughing, watching the little thing fly away. "What did you do? How did you piss off a lady bug?"
Silver smiled a little before laughing. She hadn't laughed this much since forever. "I don't know. Try to get it off your coat. Approach it."
"You're ridiculous." John stood back up but his cheeks were starting to hurt from smiling this much.
"I didn't know camp could be this fun." He was joking of course, but there was an underlying truth to his words. When was the last time he was away from his family this long? Never?
