Hi. So back in high school I read a horror novel about a couple of small children who were dropped of at their grandmothers house in England . Their grandmother lived in a swamp in a rickety old mansion. One of the first things their grandmother told them is don't go into the swamp when there's a high tide. Eventually they started hearing weird noises at night and strange things around the yard. There ended up being a weird monster that we tied to the water in the swamp and the house was only protected when the tide was down

The only thing about the cover I remember is I think it's a road with old dead looking forest around it I think back in 2012 was when I read it
