Does anybody like dragons?
I have a story.
Does anyone want to read?"
Hi Jane! I'm not the right dragon person, but Susan Bass Marcus does love dragons and has written at least one fiction book featuring them. Is she part of this group, too? I'm still going through the posts :) She is an Indie author, that much I do know.
Have a great day!

CB has been thinking again. There is a godawful mess here.

I'll get the mop."
Nah. You're all right. Me and Dog like a bit of mess....
How's the writing hetero going?

What am I smoking? I can't recall, officer... *shifty eyes*
@Miss Jane: I rarely read fantasy but I adore dragons. May I have a read too...?
*puppy-dog eyes*
Apparently, it's all about the eyes today haha!

Oh, I see...
"And I been missing you...."

I'm selfish enough to only beta read stuff I'm likely to really be inspired by. I'll send you the dragon thing as a sort of mouthwash if you like..... it has inter-species sex!

I happen to like Dragons... my book has one, after all. Just one, though. And I'll read/review if you want.

I'd love you to read it. But only if you would like to. It's not out anywhere yet, I'm just polishing. If you would like it. I'll mail it to you

I think it's a good book, but I've been brave enough to move out of the cheapo bracket. So much to stress about.
Brandy and cigars needed

1. Congrats a bunch!!
2. I know this is last minute but if you have a "media kit" and would like me to post on my site for ya tomorrow, I totally can.

Media Kit? I knew I'd effing well forgotten something. Sheesh. Just lost the chance to be featured on Miss Annie's website. Sheesh some more....

I don't even have a media kit for myself and you're not missing out on much haha! No sheeshing required, trust me ^_~

It's smokin...
Huge thank you to Ember.

Jeez. Everybody is kind.

I've just blogged about hunks unclothed versus hunks clothed.
Your take ladies and gentlemen?
Those of you who also know me as an Indie author might remember a discussion about books with bare-breasted men on their covers. The gist of that was that, no matter how pleasant a six pack is to look at it can become a bit generic.
As in 'quel surprise, another hunk with a six pack and his hands covering the Crown Jewels'. Now it isn't that I object to looking at six packs, au contraire. However, I'm not finding this type of cover calls to me as a book buyer.
I had almost stopped ranting on about this - between sustained periods of research into the six pack - when I found myself sharing a pre-publication flier for E M Swift Hook's upcoming novel 'Trust a Few' and blow me down if the woman doesn't have a hunk on the flier. But he has his clothes on. Revelation. Superior man flesh can be used with its clothes on. IMHO, in this case at least, it makes our 'hero' even more jaw-droppingly toothsome.
If you don't believe me check out my facebook page (yes the elderly and confused one does have such a thing) at https://www.facebook.com/jane.jago.12... and see for yourself.

I purposely went the other direction. I wanted people to wonder what was really behind my characters. If they wanted the intimacy, they were going to have to work for it, just like my characters had to. There is something very special with making love and sexuality a journey.
The thing with the six pack headless guy on a cover is that it is almost impossible to know with one quick look if you've read that book or not, or even if you have it on your eReader.
One six pack looks exactly like any other six packs. So for me, if I have read one, I have read them all and will more then likely skip the next book with a six pack.

I think I love you all.
PS Today Angel Chadwick interviewed me for her blog. The woman must be a genius because she has managed to make me sound halfway human...

Don't get me wrong I most definitely objectify the male gender in my takeover games. cuz... I can and people love it! But, not on my covers!
Great interview Miss Jane!

2. Hmm. I kinda have a different POV on the whole cover thing. I've experimented with a crapload of covers. Change em like once a month and track sales hahaha...no joke. My (now) naked torso cover was previously a fully clothed dude and originally was something very "against-the-popular-norm" - a plain black cover with simple lettering.
Personally, I don't wanna be different or tell a story with my covers. All I want is for readers to spot my book in an endless sea of thumbnails and click. My blurb can sell them from there. Hopefully. Maybe LOL

But I think your covers are smokin' torsos with a twist.

And thank you!! *blushes profusely* I like being twisty haha!

:-)

Shall beg forgiveness later ^_~

Gah! Back in my wayward youth, a friend dragged me to one of those oily men reviews, using the guilt trip that it would cheer up another friend who was going through a breakup. Given that she offered to buy drinks, I went. However, I was not going to participate in the creepy ogling of oily dudes. Well...
Apparently one oily dudes was really bad about reading body language and decided my crossed arms and general not paying attention to the show meant I needed a hug. Yeah, that oil stains. And I didn't stick around long enough to find out if I was given a lifetime ban for my outburst. ;P
But yeah, torsos... Maybe just let the guy have a face? Is that so difficult?

You're right. It's tricky, finding that right balance between having the right cover and using what will draw eyes because sales!!! (Drools.) If my cover fails to deliver, which it will not damn it, I'd probably slap a headless corvo on it too even though personally they do nothing for me, readers seem to like them. I'm ashamed to say I have no shame. :p
