SOLVED. Children's book a little boy stalling and not wanting to go to bed [s]

I'm looking for a book that I read to my daughter about 15 years ago. We moved and it got lost. It's about a little boy stalling and not wanting to go to bed. It might be people or animals, I don't know!! The mother says " it's time for bed" and the boy says "but I'm not sleepy, I want to watch tv" the mother says " no tv, I'm turning off the big light and turning on the night light" the boy says " but I'm not sleepy, I want a glass of water" the mother says " no water, I'm turning off the big light and turning on the night light" the boy says " but I'm not sleepy, I want a bed time story" the mother says " ok, one bed time story, then I'm turning off the big light and turning on the night light" after the story, I think she says, good night sleep tight, or, sleep tight , all night. That's all I remember....please someone help me find it, this is my last chance.

I think it's a boy?....I guess it could be a girl if you come across any? Not sure, but I'm sure it's a mother. The book on the right with the bear holding the teddy, called I'm not sleepy, has a similar description, but I don't recognize the book. I looked on the internet to see if I could see inside, but no luck. If the mother says I'm turning off the big light and turning on the night light, I will know it's the one. Another book that is similar is sandol stoddards bedtime for bear, but again, I can't see inside to know for sure. Do you know any way to see inside, or see the words inside.....I might have to check out library's. Thank you so much!!!!

Thank you, that is a very handy site to know about. The two books that come close are on there, but no descriptions or reading available. But thank you so much....my next thing is to see if a library has those two books and I can see them that way. Thank you again.

I found this about the version by Hawkins (the bear holding a teddy): Baby Bear is in bed but not sleepy. His requests for a drink of water, a cookie, to go to the bathroom and to hear a story are met with appropriate responses from Mother off-stage. Only when he needs to be cuddled does Mother Bear appear, and he then falls asleep.

No, that's not it. The mother and kid are inside, and the kid is watching tv when she says it's time for bed. But thank you so much for your help.

Yeah, I saw that, and it seems very similar. I just can't read enough to know if it's the one or not....it doesn't look familiar. I'm going to see if it's at a library so I can check it out. Thank you for your help.
