Are you insinuating that Jeanne would even consider entering the hallowed halls of Pemberley if everything wasn't entirely prim and proper,if our beloved Mr Darcy wasn't suitably kitted out in his day time apparel,suitable to a gentleman of his standing?

I suspect you are also casting aspersions on Mr Darcy,as if he would deign to welcome any guest,not to mind one as honoured as our Jeanne,to his inner sanctum,while waving a wet,white shirt! Why,that would mean then that he was no longer wearing said shirt and well,..........our Jeanne would never cross the threshold if she even suspected such was the case!!! I'm right,Jeanne,aren't I? 😉

Whew! It was touch and go there for a bit. I was off line for a while and didn't know when I'd get back on track. But, I still have several in my someone-else-pick-it for me. I'm trying to clean out my TBR pile.

That is one of the benefits [or not] of belonging to GoodReads. I discovered that problem shortly after joining, My TBR pile suddenly took on the characteristics of a virus... expanding exponentially.

Thanks Mary... yes, I have been very selective. I've watched y'alls reviews carefully and decided to be more careful in my reading.

Dung... thank you. Those links are helpful to me too when I need to look back, go back or since I usually read the unpub WIP from my computer, I have a word document already started for the review with the link right there. So if it takes me several days to finish a story, I can go to the document more quickly for the link then I can trying to find where I first saw it.I know... it is confusing, but that helps me not forget. Thanks for commenting.

I'll just tell you both, I never... NEVER expected to reach these numbers.. Maybe it was reading more unpub and short... shorts. Who knew. I may make it to the big league this year. Wow!

Update: although this shows 300... due to several Unpub stories not on GR... my GR's counter is currently at 295. There is till time before the end of the year for me to make 300 on that counter. I never thought I'd get to 300... that is insane. I probably won't make it next year. I have a quilt I need to work on and that will take time. So, I will enjoy this while I can and whatever I do next year will be fine.

The reference in this story mirrored that of the Miss Smith from Emma. I was given a whole new perspective to her plight and her social standing. Man, how did I not see that when reading Emma? I will have a new insight into her situation the next time I read Emma. Elizabeth was the natural daughter of someone that is not revealed until the very end. Her story is very interesting and heart wrenching in places. What a step Darcy took in loving her.
