Hi All,

First, I want to let you all know that Mary Pat has started helping me keep up with the challenge. She actually started a few weeks ago, but I wanted to make sure we had a sure thing before I posted it. We do, and it's working awesome, so we don't have to start a new feed! Yay!

Second, I have statistics as of May 28th (the last time Mary Pat gave me an update), and hopefully I will have statistics close to the beginning of every month from now on, so double yay!
So far, we have 108 members in this challenge and have read 951 books. 2 members have finished the challenge.

Just finished another book in the Irish Country series - An Irish Country Christmas by Patrick Taylor. I'm going to take a break from this series. The book is repetitive within the story and between the books. An editor would have helped chop some of that down. Still enjoyable. 3 stars

Just finished another book in the Dorothy Must Die series - The Wicked Will Rise by Danielle Paige. While I am still overall enjoying this little fantasy trip, the book was confusing in some of its plot points. I feel like details are getting muddled. I'll continue with the series, but so far it's not my favorite. 3.5 stars

Just completed the third book in the Dorothy Must Die series - Yellow Brick War by Danielle Paige. Still enjoyable, fantasy read. However, there were holes in her story and a few times where it seemed like she was writing so quickly that she left out bits that she meant to include. It just ruins the flow of the story. Still worth reading. 3.5 stars

Just completed another book in the Ravenspire series - The Wish Granter by C.J. Redwine. Really entertaining read! I love Redwine's reimagined fairytales! And I especially love her female heroes - no simpering, sleepy damsels in this book! My only complaint was the book was a touch slow and confusing at the start. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars

Just started another series - The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brasheres. Despite my initial feelings about this book, and not really liking the movie adaptation, I was surprisingly moved by it. The writing is simple, but I appreciated how the stories were woven together mixed with the letters each girl wrote. The author did a decent job of giving her characters their own personality in their letters. Worth reading! 4.5 stars

Just finished the Red Rising series - Morning Star by Piece Brown. My one complaint about this series is that I wish I had waited to read them back to back. There is so much packed into each book, particularly with the histories between the main characters. It's nigh unto impossible to keep it all straight if there is any time in between the books. That being said, this was an excellent conclusion. I wasn't as surprised at the intrigues and betrayals, having been prepared for it by Brown's previous books. But it still twisted and turned and had me enthralled until the end. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars
