☼ JAMIESON IS GOING FOR 100 IN 2017 !! ☼

I received a free copy of extopia: mind game by robin bootle for review. It's about a boy who's family get caught in a vitual world they created. I think the premise sounded so interesting, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the execution. I found the romance a bit annoying and thought the female character was poorly written

I've been powering through series this year, my goal to finish series is going way better then expected. I finished V.E Schwab's Shades of Magic series and read A Conjuring of Light. I was a little unconvinced by the other two books, but I ended up really liking this one. The character development was really well done, the plot was MUCH faster then in previous books and I liked how it ended up. Plus my actual faves Kell, Rhy and Alucard got to be happy and I could not be more glad.

I recieved this book through netgalley but I was so glad I was approved because I wanted to read Juliet Takes a Breath for ages! I really loved so much about this book, Juliets tone of narration was so fun, it was so inclusive and kinda educational and had so many visibly queer spaces. But I didn't like the cheating element that came into play.

I requested and was approved to read The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee and I totally loved it! It was so refreshing to read a diverse historical fantasy and I really thought the representation and discussions around representation was well written. I'm thrilled there will be a sequel/spin-off about Felicity.

I read a book I've been highly anticipating for 2017 and I'm so glad I did because I loved it. Queens of Geek is such a cute and fun book with such good representation. I loved that the characters are from Australia, and Charlie being bisexual made me so happy because I am too! I could not recommend this book highly enough its great

I listened to Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire on Audiobook and absolutely loved it. This one has been getting a lot of hype both for it's representation and for the plot and characters and I agree with all the hype it's great! Such a cute little novella and I've started Down Among the Sticks and Bones which I am also enjoying

I was sent a copy of Moroda by the author for review and I really liked it. It's a fun high-fantasy with dragons, pirates and heaps of different species of people which make it really unique. Definitely looking forward to the sequel

I was so excited to read Shaun David Hutchinsons new book because I loved We Are the Ants so much. I don't know if I liked it as much as WATA but it was still pretty great. SDH has the best writing style and characters and I adore his work so much.

I've been wanting to read Dreadnought for the longest time and I finally got my hands on it. It's about a trans superhero and I really enjoyed it. The main character was amazing and I'm super rooting for the romance in book 2.

I read The Five Stages of Andrew Brawley because I'm obsessed with SDH and yeah I liked it! Shaun David Hutchinson can basically do no wrong in my eyes, and while this was probably my least favourite of his books, I still really liked it so much. It's just that WATA is a masterpiece and little can compare

Uni reading: Where Angels Fear to Tread by E.M Forster. Currently hating on it because I'm doing my essay on it, but I liked it at the time

Okay I've wanted to read The Morning Star since I heard about it (HELLO, M/M ROMANCE WHERE FBI AGENT AND ART THIEF FALL IN LOVE SIGN ME TF UP)
This was really fun and I liked the characters but I definitely do not think it was as good as I was promised, BUT I am excited to read the sequels

I was sent Carousel by the publisher - it's a dystopoian/post-apocalyptic revolving around 4 people trapped in a shopping centre and it's set whete I live !! so that was nice. Definitely a fun book will be reading the sequel soon

Back at it with the uni books, UFO in Her Eyes is a satire piece about communist China and it was really interesting, especially the format it was written in

The Interrogation of Ashala Wolf is an ownvoices indigenous australian dystopian I've been meaning to read FOREVER and it really was good. Loved the dystopian setting and the misfit characters who made up the cast, and the plot twists were great

Another saga graphic novel down, Saga, Vol. 3. Favourite cover, least favourite installment so far. BUT okay I care so much about the main characters fuck me up

THE COVER IS STUUUNING

I finally read my arc of They Both Die at the End which I lowkey put off because I knew it'd be So Sad and it Really Was I'm upset. But it was beautiful and moving too so it was great, I think people really need to read it when it comes out, such a meaningful book

I have been meaning to read this book foreverrrr and that book is Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. I've literally never heard a bad thing about this book and it definitely lived up to the hype. I loved the characters and the story and the issues it addressed and it was super cute so I loved this one!
