Barbara (The Bibliophage) (barbarathebibliophage) I have Bel Canto on my shelf and this is the perfect excuse to stop delaying!

Laura | 33 comments Bel Canto is sooooo good!

Sarah Lipke (inked_and_nerdy) | 3 comments I am watching Gilmore girls as I read the bingo card and was thrilled to see this as a prompt!! I've always envied Rory for her ability to plow through classics like they are children's books.. and now I have the official list and WILL read every book on it one day..

I have way too many options to choose from for this prompt! A lot of these books can fit into other categories, too!

message 6: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Wahle | 12 comments The Virgin Suicides has been on my TBR for a long time. Still not sure if I will use it for my Rory Gilmore pick or for Set in the 1970's. (I'm trying not to double square any books - I'm too competitive)

message 7: by Martha (new)

Martha (marthag503) I haven't read The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, Middlesex, or Brick Lane yet and I have all three of those. I also have Personal History by Katherine Graham.

message 8: by Charlott (new)

Charlott (halfjill) For I try to read books which I already own I might gor for Backlash: The Undeclared War Against American Women or The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath.

Oooh, Kavalier and Clay has been sitting on my shelf for YEARS untouched. Maybe I will finally pick it up...

JoRead | 3 comments Thank you for this because I'm probably the only woman of my generation that's never watched the Gilmore Girls LOL

Thank you for the list! I have Middlesex and still haven't read it so that might be my pick; we'll see...

Jen (bloomingjen) Middlesex is soooo good!

JoRead | 3 comments Nope, I haven't seen it either. I want to, just haven't made the ..."

It's good to know I'm not the only one, Susan <3

message 14: by Kristopher (new)

Kristopher Underwood (mrcoachu) I don't think you can go wrong with any of the many choices on this list. I am going with the great Seamus Heaney and his translation of Beowulf.

message 15: by Barb (new)

Barb | 3 comments So many choices!! Think I'm going to revisit an old favorite: The Outsiders.
And, I've never watched Gilmore Girls, either....

message 16: by Yesenia (new)

Yesenia (imthebookaddict) | 2 comments There are so many choices, but I think I'm going with The Catcher in the Rye since I own it, it's been on my TBR forever, and it's a shorter one.

message 17: by Deborah (new)

Deborah | 15 comments I've never watched the show but own so many books on the list that it should be an easy pick!

Melissa Someone set up the list as a reading list on listopia here on Goodreads if anyone needs ideas : https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7...

message 19: by Kristin (new)

Kristin | 3 comments I've been wanting to read Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers forever, so that's my pick for this one.

message 20: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Since I'm Reading Harry Potter at the moment I'll go with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone!

Yes! It’s the same story with more pictures. As far as I know it isn’t abridged in any way.
