That is an amazing guess.

- Fly me to the moon. Maybe a category on of-world destination real or fictional e.g. Moon, Mars, Krypton, Vulan. "
Gee, I wish I'd thought of that.
But, one of your destinations - Mars - is also connected to Jodie Foster and snakes.

Well, I think it's fair to say I am well and truly stumped.
How about greek mythology? This is a bit tenuous :-/Jodie foster starred in Elysium (in greek myths this is like heaven). This is where it gets dodgy - many of the gods are named for planets (or visa versa) and Medusa had snakes for hair ......
Margo wrote: "How about greek mythology? This is a bit tenuous :-/"Or mythology generally. Planets are named after the Romans, so if it was broader... so many task ideas!
Jeez... if this isn't it, this is a ripper of an idea...
I think the greeks also had names for the planets relating to their own gods but they are not the ones used today ...but yeah, would make a great challenge ;-)
This conversation is getting interesting. I still have the December monthly challenge to plan. No, I lie... I do have it planned, and it connects with the annual challenge.
I'll post the annual challenge on Friday, and the December monthly challenge on Saturday. I have a book to finish for real life book club tomorrow night.
Nice! I thought it would be at least another week. Friday is tomorrow!! :D So excited, good thing I have an empty weekend to start gophering.
I thought the same thing, Peggy. We are in Thanksgiving break, and "normal" life only resumes on Tuesday for us. Lots of time to gophering. :)Thank you, Janice. Even I still don't know what the challenge is about, I am sure it will be awesome as always. :)
I was going to post the toppler on Saturday too (which may or may not also have to do with the challenge, lol). Maybe I’ll do that on Sunday and everyone can have a whole weekend filled with challenges and gophering.
Two challenges and a toppler to be posted this weekend! This will be the best weekend ever. All this anticipation - I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.
Haha me too TrudyAn!I'm a member of this group for over 4 years now and I'm still as excited by the challenges and eager to hear what they are as I was in the beginning.
Shall we recap the hints?Let the sunshine in.
Superheroes with their own category.
Elemental my dear Watson.
"Fly me to the moon, let me play among the stars"
Jodie Foster and snakes have something in common.
Mars
from other threads
Greece
Jason Momoa plays Aquaman in Justice League.
I have no idea. Guess i'll wait until you post the challenge. Lookibg forward to the gophering. And as i've finished this year's challenge I can spend more time finding books for next year.
The separate clues give me ideas, and 2 or 3 combined too, but I can't think of anything that fits with all.
Something with stars ,planets ,superheroes element(al powers ?) and Greece( or places)....Greek mythology ? As someone guessed(?)
Greek based stars and element related....hmmm...
💆

Just a word of warning. I forgot that I had agreed to go to the movie with friends tomorrow night. We're going to the 5:00 showing, so I should be home around 7:30-8:00. I'll post it as soon as I get in. That will be Saturday morning for some of you.
We're going to see Daddy's Home 2. I'm looking forward to some good laughs after a very stressful week.
